Skyrim Modder Brings Elden Ring-Style Combat to the RPG Without AI

A fan has demonstrated a Skyrim mod that aims to bring Elden Ring-style player combat to Bethesda’s RPG. The mod was described by its poster as “fully playable,” but GamesRadar+ reported no release date or download link, so its availability remains unconfirmed.

What the Skyrim mod changes

The project adapts Elden Ring-inspired player movement and combat for Skyrim. In its 6 October 2026 report, GamesRadar+ credited GitHub user Funny-Bones with an underlying Rust implementation of Elden Ring player movement and combat, while describing a separate, unnamed Skyrim modder as the person who adapted it to the game. The report does not identify the Skyrim adapter, so the two contributions should not be conflated.

The X account quoted by GamesRadar+ said: “This isn’t a passthrough or any fancy tricks.” The post also described the Rust player controller as something that “can now be added to any game!” That is the poster’s account of the project, not independent technical verification.

Is it available to download?

Not according to the information in the report. The poster called the mod “fully playable” and said it would be uploaded “soon,” but GamesRadar+ gave no specific release date or release link. “Fully playable” is the poster’s characterization, not a reported hands-on test, and it does not confirm public availability.

What players should know before trying it

The report does not specify which Skyrim edition or platform the mod supports, or list dependencies and installation steps. Without a confirmed release page and compatibility details, there is no reliable basis for download or setup instructions. It also does not say that owning Elden Ring is required; the game is identified as the combat inspiration.

Would Elden Ring combat work in Skyrim?

The pitch is appealing if you want Skyrim’s world and quests with combat modeled on Elden Ring. Whether the adaptation feels convincing in practice remains an open question: the available coverage describes a demonstration and relays the poster’s claim that the mod is playable, but does not independently assess its combat or document a public build.
