The SiteLock dashboard is where customers review enrolled websites, check security status, open scan results, manage site settings and read account messages. Where you sign in—and some of the menus or features you see—depends on whether you bought SiteLock directly or through a hosting provider. The available interface descriptions do not establish that every account has received the same redesign.
How to sign in to your SiteLock dashboard
If you purchased SiteLock directly from SiteLock or a sales agent, use the SiteLock login. If your subscription came through a hosting provider, sign in to that provider’s hosting dashboard and look for its SiteLock or security area. Providers do not use one standard menu location, so the route can differ by account.

The overview article updated by Bluehost on September 14, 2026 describes an Overview, scan results, Risk Score and SMART Patch. It also says Risk Score may be deprecated in favor of Site Health Metrics. That is a qualified description from one provider-hosted page, not confirmation that the same labels or rollout apply to every SiteLock customer. Menu placement and feature visibility may vary.

What the main dashboard areas show
Overview
Use Overview for a summary of your enrolled sites and their health states. SiteLock says this area also highlights websites that require customer action. Treat the summary as a route into the underlying report, not as a substitute for its scan details.
#1 Best Overall
Sites
The Sites area lists covered domains and lets you search, filter and sort by domain, configuration, health and recent scan time. A fully configured product can lead to Manage or a security report; a site that still needs setup can lead to Setup or a setup wizard. The labels and exact path may vary with the account interface.
Security reports and scans
Open a site’s report and expand the relevant product or scan section to see its findings. SiteLock documents four distinct scan types, and their results answer different questions:
Rank #2
| Scan | What it checks and how it runs | What the result can show | Useful next step |
|---|---|---|---|
| SMART Database Scan | Checks database tables for known malware and spam. The help guide describes it as an on-demand scan started with “Scan Now.” | Discovered material in database tables. | Review the configured response: depending on preferences, SiteLock may remove findings or report them without removal. |
| SMART File Scan | Checks files in the website directory daily, according to SiteLock’s help guide, and is described as automatically removing malware. | Counts of files scanned, changed files, and malicious or suspicious detections. | Review changed files in context. Content-management-system background updates can change files even when you did not edit them yourself. |
| Vulnerability Scan | Checks the content-management system and its plugins, themes or extensions for reported vulnerabilities. | Findings can include platform vulnerabilities, SQL injection or cross-site scripting, with affected software or URLs and mitigation guidance. | Use the affected component and recommended mitigation to guide remediation, such as addressing vulnerable software. |
| Webpage Scan | Crawls live pages for malware indicators using databases identified in SiteLock’s guide. | Flagged URLs, malware type and severity, and a sample. | Do not copy or paste a potentially malicious sample. SiteLock recommends contacting support for mitigation. |
These scans are not interchangeable: a clean result from one scan does not establish that the other scan types found no issues. SiteLock’s scan-results guide explains the result details for each type.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsSite settings
Depending on the account and products, site settings can include contact and subscription information, server access, backup or database settings, scan preferences, and firewall or CDN settings. SMART File Scan and SMART Database Scan preferences may offer automatic malware removal or a warn-only behavior. Check the setting for the specific scan before assuming that a finding was removed automatically.

Users and messages
SiteLock describes Owners as having access to the full dashboard, including account and billing options. Account Viewers have a more limited view: Overview, Sites and Messages. Messages can be opened for a selected site or from the account-level menu, where domain filters help narrow the list.
How to interpret SiteLock health labels and notices
SiteLock’s dashboard guide uses five labels. They describe SiteLock’s assessment in the scan context; they are not an independent security certification.

A notice or health label is a prompt to investigate the relevant site report. Open the report, identify which scan produced the result and which asset or URL it names, then follow the mitigation guidance for that finding. A summary label alone does not identify the cause or establish what action has already been taken.
What the “new interface” description does—and does not—establish
The Bluehost overview updated September 14, 2026 describes Site Health Metrics alongside scan summaries, Risk Score and SMART Patch, while qualifying that Risk Score may be deprecated in favor of Site Health Metrics. SiteLock’s support materials provide operational guidance on navigation and scans, but the reviewed documentation does not establish a universal redesign rollout or identical feature availability across accounts.
Best Value
SiteLock’s older customer FAQ about an earlier redesign stated, “Although there aren’t any new features or functionality within the new dashboard, several enhancements have been made to improve the overall user experience.” That statement applies to the earlier redesign described by that FAQ; it should not be read as a description of the interface covered by the later Bluehost article.
