The Sirius SM923520 is a 52 cm undermount rangehood, but the public information available does not disclose its main ducted test results. That means there is not enough evidence to give it a reliable performance verdict. CHOICE marks the model discontinued and identifies the carbon filter used for recirculating operation.
What the Sirius SM923520 offers
CHOICE lists the SM923520 as a stainless-steel undermount rangehood with controls underneath, two LED lights, a metal anti-grease filter, one fan and four speed settings. Its listed width is 52 cm. CHOICE recommends 150 mm ducting and gives a mounting-height range of 600–700 mm. Can you tell whether it performs well?
Not from the public test information. CHOICE identifies the test mode as ducted, but its Expert Rating, performance and ease-of-use results, noise score, and measured low- and high-speed noise values are available only to members. The public listing therefore does not establish how effectively this model extracts cooking fumes or how loud it is in measured use.
CHOICE does show a 66% score for recirculating mode. That is a separate result and should not be treated as the missing ducted rating. Nor does it support a broader conclusion about overall performance.

Which filter does it use?
For recirculating operation, CHOICE identifies the carbon filter as KF52 / SPS-6007092300 and says two filters are needed. The listing gives an annual carbon-filter price of $177, but its date is not shown; treat this as historical listing information, not a current price. Replacement timing is not stated.
Before ordering, compare the part number with the label or documentation for your appliance and confirm compatibility with the seller. The model is marked discontinued, so availability may vary.

Installation details to verify
CHOICE’s listing gives a 600–700 mm mounting height and recommends a 150 mm duct diameter. Those figures are useful starting points, not a substitute for checking the specific unit, cabinetry and installation instructions. Confirm the cabinet cut-out, clearances and duct route before cutting or modifying cabinetry.

Do not confuse it with the SM923L520
Sirius/Arisit’s 2025 specification sheet is for the related but distinct SM923L520, not the SM923520. It lists 750 m³/h extraction, approximate noise of 45–70 dBA, a 520 mm width, 150 mm ducting and a recommended installation height of 600–750 mm. Those figures cannot be assigned to the SM923520. Availability and buying considerations
CHOICE marks the SM923520 discontinued and lists a historical price of $859 AUD; the listing date is not shown, so this is not a current offer or a reliable guide to today’s value. Check whether the unit, compatible filters and service parts are actually available before committing to a purchase.
