T3 found the machine versatile and easy to use, while its reviewer questioned whether the edition’s appearance and plastic-heavy feel justified its UK price premium over the standard Pro.
What the Ninja Luxe Café Pro does
The ES701 combines an integrated grinder with espresso, drip coffee, cold brew and independent hot-water functions. Its guided Barista Assist workflow, built-in tamper, Dual Froth System Pro, XL jug and integrated scale are intended to reduce the number of separate tools and decisions involved in making drinks. These are manufacturer-listed features, not a guarantee that every drink will suit every taste. SharkNinja’s ES701 product page lists the machine’s features and replacement parts.

It is best understood as a semi-automatic, multi-style coffee setup rather than a fully automatic bean-to-cup machine: the machine assists with parts of the process, but the user still has room to adjust settings and prepare drinks. Tech Advisor’s review describes the ES701 as a three-brew-type machine with hands-free frothing and Barista Assist, and notes that its controls and backlit display avoid a touchscreen-led interface. Tech Advisor’s review also lists a 227 g bean hopper.
Does it make good espresso and other coffee?
T3 reviewer Lee Bell used the Beckham edition as a daily machine for several weeks. He reported that the setup was quick and that the Barista Assist grind suggestion gave him a useful starting point, but his espresso improved after he selected a finer grind than the machine suggested. That is a useful reminder that guided settings are a starting point, not a substitute for dialing in beans to your preference. T3’s review also describes its filter coffee as smooth and balanced and says the cold-brew function produced concentrate in roughly 20 minutes.

Those are one reviewer’s results, not an independent extraction test or a promise of identical results with different beans, grind settings or recipes. The machine’s range is its clearest strength: it can cover espresso-based drinks, a filter-style cup, cold-brew concentrate and hot water without requiring separate brewing appliances.
Is the Beckham edition worth paying more for?
In T3’s UK review, the Beckham limited edition was listed at £879.99, compared with £729.99 for the standard Pro—a £150 difference at the time T3 checked. The review describes the standard machine as functionally identical, with the distinction being its appearance. Bell liked the wood-look handles but found the gold trim overly shiny and the overall finish less premium-looking than expected; he also criticized flexible plastic in parts such as the removable drip tray. These are subjective impressions of this edition and are not durability measurements or a verdict on every finish. Read T3’s edition-specific review.

Price snapshots vary substantially by market, variant, retailer and sale timing, so do not treat one figure as a universal current price. SharkNinja’s US listing showed $599.99 on sale from $749.99 shortly before this research’s October 2026 date; Ideal Home reported the UK standard Pro at £549.99, reduced from £699.99, during an October 2026 sale period. Those are different listings and cannot be compared as like-for-like regular prices. Check the local listing for the exact model, finish, seller and live price before buying. The edition premium makes sense only if you particularly want the Beckham design and are comfortable paying more for appearance alone. If not, compare the standard Pro’s current local price with the limited edition rather than assuming the higher price buys additional brewing capability.

How it compares with the Premier and other machines
Tom’s Guide frames the Pro’s higher price against the less expensive Luxe Café Premier and asks whether the additional features are worthwhile for every buyer. The available evidence does not establish a complete current feature-by-feature or price comparison, so check each model’s local specification and live price rather than assuming that the Pro is automatically the better value. - Price and edition: compare the exact finish and model at local retailers, including whether a discount is temporary.
- Brewing range: check which drink styles and hot-water functions each machine actually supports.
- Guidance and control: decide whether you want prompts for grind and preparation, more manual control, or a different balance.
- Milk and serving size: compare frothing method, jug capacity and how much milk you typically prepare.
- Counter space and storage: account for the machine, jug and accessories, not just the machine’s footprint. T3 found the Pro relatively compact given its grinder, tamper, scale and frother.
- Materials and service: inspect the finish in person if possible, and check local warranty terms, replacement-part availability and service options.
What to check before buying
Confirm the local model and electrical supply
Do not assume the UK and US versions have the same electrical specification. The UK ES701 guide gives 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz, 1650 W and a 2 L water tank; the US product page lists 120 V. Barista Assist can make setup and adjustment less intimidating, but T3’s experience shows that its suggested grind may need changing to suit the espresso you want. If you expect a machine to produce a perfected shot without any experimentation, that distinction matters.

Separate review impressions from proven longevity
Tech Advisor reports a two-month test and discusses usability, but that does not establish long-term reliability or failure rates. Similarly, T3’s comments about the Beckham finish describe perceived quality, not a measured durability assessment.
Check what comes with the machine and what is replaceable
T3 reports that cleaning tablets, descaling powder and a cleaning brush are included. SharkNinja’s product page lists ES701 replacement parts; confirm that any part or care supply matches your regional model before ordering. T3’s review; SharkNinja ES701 parts and product information.

- Consider it if you want one machine for several brewing styles, appreciate guided assistance and will use the grinder and milk-frothing setup.
- Choose the standard Pro instead if it is meaningfully cheaper locally and you do not value the Beckham finish; T3 describes the standard model as functionally identical.
- Look elsewhere or compare carefully if your priority is a particular interface, a different design, or a simpler machine with fewer functions. The Pro’s breadth is valuable only if those options fit your routine.
