If SingleFileZ will not save a webpage in Chrome on Windows 11, first check whether the page is one Chrome prevents extensions from accessing. Then determine whether you are saving a normal webpage or a local file, whether Chrome created a download, and whether the real problem is opening the saved file. The available project documentation does not establish a Windows 11-specific defect or a universal fix.
Start by identifying what is failing
Separate the problem into four cases before changing settings:

- The extension does not respond: test it on an ordinary public webpage, not a browser-controlled page.
- One particular site will not save: suspect site-specific security or resource behavior.
- You are trying to save a local file: check Chrome’s separate permission for file URLs.
- The save seems complete, but the page will not open or is slow: check for a downloaded file and distinguish saving from opening it.
SingleFileZ’s FAQ explains that browsers block extensions on certain domains for security. It gives the Mozilla add-on site as an example: SingleFileZ FAQ. If the extension works on a normal site but not on a protected browser page, that limitation is not evidence of a Windows 11 problem.

Check permissions for pages saved from your computer
Chrome extensions cannot access local filesystem pages by default. If you are saving a page opened from your disk, or need SingleFileZ’s related infobar on a local page, open Chrome’s extensions page, select SingleFileZ’s details, and enable Allow access to file URLs. This setting is for local files; it does not remove restrictions on protected browser pages. The file-access explanation is in the related SingleFile documentation: SingleFile FAQ.

Confirm that Chrome actually saved a file
SingleFileZ lists the downloads permission as what allows it to save pages as downloads. Check Chrome’s downloads list and the configured download destination for an output file before treating an opening problem as a failed save. The reviewed documentation does not establish a Windows 11-specific download fault.
To check the extension’s available commands and open its options, use Chrome’s extensions management menu and select SingleFileZ’s options. Its Chrome Web Store listing describes saving the current tab, selected content, frames, links, or multiple tabs: SingleFileZ on the Chrome Web Store.

If saving is slow, trade processing time against completeness
SingleFileZ says its default configuration favors smaller saved pages, which can increase processing time and CPU use. Change options one at a time so you can see whether a particular operation is slowing the save.

- Under HTML content, turn off remove hidden elements.
- Under Stylesheets, turn off remove unused styles.
- Try saving again. If it is still slow, consider disabling frame removal or deferred-image saving, then check the result carefully.
Those additional changes can make the saved page less complete: images or frames may be missing. SingleFileZ’s explanation and performance suggestions are in its FAQ. It also notes that saving work happens in the browser, while resources such as images, CSS, frames, and fonts may need to be downloaded from the page.

If only one website fails or has missing images
Some sites restrict extension access or handle their resources in site-specific ways. First compare the result on another ordinary webpage. If the page saves but images are missing, related SingleFile guidance notes that some sites require a Referer header for images. That is a possible missing-image remedy, not a general fix for an extension that will not save at all: SingleFile FAQ.
If the saved page does not open in Chrome
Verify that a file exists before changing save settings. SingleFileZ’s FAQ says its saved pages require JavaScript and that Chrome cannot open them from the filesystem without the extension or a command-line switch. A file that was written successfully but does not display as expected is an opening limitation, not necessarily a download failure. See the SingleFileZ FAQ for the project’s explanation.

If the problem persists, report the exact Chrome and SingleFileZ versions, the page or type of page involved, and what happens when you invoke the save command. Include whether Chrome creates a file and whether the failure occurs on other ordinary sites. The available documentation does not identify a verified Windows 11 build-specific bug or a current version-specific universal fix.
