If SingleFile saves a page without pictures, first confirm the images appear on the live page and wait for it to finish loading before saving again. If pictures are missing only on one site, try SingleFile’s Network option to pass the Referer header after a cross-origin request error. Deferred images, browser restrictions, extension conflicts, and canvas-rendered content can also explain the problem.
Work out which kind of image failure you have
SingleFile is designed to save a web page with resources such as images, but it cannot guarantee that every resource will be retrieved. Start by checking whether the pictures are present in the live page. Then use the symptom that best matches what happened:

- Images are missing on the live page: the save cannot include images the page has not loaded. Wait for the page to finish loading, then check again.
- Images appear after scrolling or waiting: they may be deferred or lazy-loaded; enable SingleFile’s option to load deferred images and iframes before saving.
- Images fail only on a particular site: the site may require a
Refererheader for image downloads. - The extension cannot access the page: the browser may block extensions on that domain for security reasons.
- A picture is drawn dynamically rather than loaded as a normal image: it may be part of a canvas, which has a documented saving limitation.
Fix missing images step by step
1. Confirm the page has loaded its images
Open or refresh the original page and check that the pictures appear in the browser. Wait until the page has finished loading before clicking SingleFile, then save it again. SingleFile’s Chrome Web Store listing advises waiting for full loading before saving: SingleFile on the Chrome Web Store.

2. Load deferred images before saving
Some pages do not request images until you scroll near them or wait. In SingleFile’s options, look for the function to load deferred images and iframes before saving and enable it. The exact label or location can vary by release, so search the options for the function rather than relying on a particular wording. The official listing describes this capability at SingleFile on the Chrome Web Store.

3. Try the Referer option for a site-specific failure
If images are missing only on one site and SingleFile reports a cross-origin request error, the site may require image requests to include a Referer header. In SingleFile’s options, open Network and enable the option to pass the “Referer” header after that error. The option is off by default for privacy reasons. 4. Check whether another extension is interfering
If the cause is unclear, temporarily disable other extensions and try saving the same page again. If images return, re-enable extensions one at a time to identify a conflict. SingleFile recommends disabling other extensions as a troubleshooting check: SingleFile Known Issues.

5. Check whether browser security blocks access
Browsers restrict extensions on some domains for security reasons. If SingleFile cannot access the page at all, the restriction may be imposed by the browser rather than by an image-saving preference. The affected domains and browser/version combinations are not specified in SingleFile’s FAQ, so this should be treated as a possibility rather than a universal explanation: SingleFile FAQ.

Some sites draw a picture into a canvas instead of exposing it as a conventional image resource. SingleFile documents that security restrictions can prevent it from saving the image representation of canvas elements. If the other checks do not help and the content is canvas-rendered, this may be a limitation rather than a setting you can change: SingleFile Known Issues.
