Signal Veil is an upcoming third-person survival-horror game from Serafini Productions, announced on October 1, 2026. It is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. What is Signal Veil?
Signal Veil is a psychological survival-horror game centered on Aki Mizuno, a teenager investigating disappearances at Nishikawa High School. Her mother has vanished, leaving Aki a cellphone with supernatural abilities. The publisher describes the game as using emotional storytelling and an aesthetic inspired by 1990s anime.

The PlayStation Store lists Serafini Productions as publisher. A Steam search listing names Time Hunters and Serafini Productions as developers and Serafini Productions as publisher; Gematsu’s game database also lists Time Hunters as developer. The Steam page was not directly accessible for verification, so its credits should be treated as provisional.
How the supernatural cellphone works
Aki’s phone is a fictional tool for detecting and interacting with spiritual phenomena, not a real-world device recommendation. According to the publisher’s description, it vibrates, makes unusual sounds, and displays interference near spiritual presences or lingering memories. It can help locate enemies before they fully appear, identify corrupted areas, and reveal clues or signals that ordinary sight cannot detect.

What the announced combat and horror mechanics involve
The publisher says hostile entities can be fought only after they have been exposed. Aki can use the phone’s flash, provoke an entity into revealing itself, or uncover its spiritual weak points. Encounters are described as relying on observation and timing as well as careful management of limited medicine, key items, and mystical weapons.
The description also says Aki’s deteriorating emotional state distorts her perception of reality, changing the environment and enemy behavior. These are features described by the publisher, not details confirmed through hands-on play.
