The Drupal setup guides say to enter the profile access key and secret key in the module configuration. Check that the site is using the intended values and configuration location. Keep both keys private; do not include them in logs, screenshots, or public support requests. Check whether the thumbnail is cached
The module stores generated thumbnail images and allows administrators to set how many days cached images remain unchanged. Before changing capture parameters, establish whether the page is displaying an older cached image. The guide describes caching but does not document a particular cache-clearing procedure for blank screenshots.

Confirm which configuration path controls the capture
The Drupal 8 guide distinguishes between basic PHP examples and field formatters, which use global settings, and an advanced example that can customize an individual request. Review the documented capture options
The Drupal guides list URL, custom width, full-length capture, maximum height, native browser resolution, widescreen resolution, delay after page load, and image quality. Some features may require an upgraded account, so check current service terms rather than assuming a particular option is available.
Separate integration problems from page or capture behavior
If the keys, cache, and applicable settings are correct, consider whether the target page itself depends on delayed JavaScript rendering or resists automated access. General screenshot API guidance identifies capture timing and automation blocking as possible causes of blank, white, incomplete, or access-denied output. These are diagnostic hypotheses only: the available documentation does not confirm either as a current ShrinkTheWeb-specific cause.

For timing-related investigation, check whether the target page renders its main content only after scripts or other resources finish loading, and whether the documented post-load delay is relevant to the request path you are using. For suspected automation blocking, compare what a normal browser visitor can see with what the capture returns. A mismatch is a clue to investigate, not proof that ShrinkTheWeb is blocked. Know the Drupal integration’s support status
Drupal.org marks the ShrinkTheWeb project unsupported as of 2022-01-31, and lists no supported stable releases. That status applies to the Drupal project; it does not establish that the separate ShrinkTheWeb service has shut down. The Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 setup guides were last updated 2019-03-04, so treat them as documentation of the integration’s configuration model, not confirmation of current service availability or account terms.
