Keep a Carrd site on one page when its content belongs together and section navigation still gives visitors a clear route through it. Split the content when readers need distinct, lasting destinations or when maintaining one long page has become awkward. Carrd also lets you publish multiple sites within your plan’s site-slot limit; if you need independently structured pages within one site, evaluate a multi-page platform. There is no established section-count threshold for making the decision, and a move should not be treated as a guaranteed SEO improvement.
Choose based on how visitors use the content
Start with the reader’s journey, not the number of sections. If someone can arrive, find the relevant information, and move between related topics without confusion, one Carrd page may still be the clearest structure. Sections can provide page-like jumps, but they remain part of the same site experience.

- Keep one page: the information forms one coherent visit, and visitors benefit from moving through a single designed experience.
- Use multiple Carrd sites: the content belongs in separate published sites, and you can manage the extra work of maintaining them.
- Evaluate a multi-page platform: topics need their own persistent destinations or independently structured content that one page does not express clearly.
There is no documented official maximum number of useful Carrd sections. A long page by itself is not proof that it should be split; the deciding signs are navigation friction, separate destination needs, and how the material must be maintained.

Ask these questions before changing the structure
- Do readers arrive for one connected experience, or for distinct topics? If the topics serve separate audiences or purposes, separation may make navigation clearer.
- Do visitors need unique URLs for individual topics? A jump to a section and a separate persistent page destination are not the same thing.
- Does content change independently? If one topic needs frequent updates while the rest stays stable, consider whether managing it separately would make the site easier to maintain.
- Will separate sites fit your plan and domain needs? Check the slot allowance and whether you need custom domains or subdomains.
- Are you willing to maintain a more involved structure? Separate sites can clarify boundaries, but keeping content and navigation consistent across them takes additional effort.
These are practical decision criteria, not measured platform outcomes. Carrd documents plan limits, domain requirements, and redirects; coherence and maintenance effort depend on your content and workflow.

What multiple Carrd sites involve
Carrd supports building and publishing multiple sites in one account, with the number governed by the plan’s site slots. Published sites, drafts, templates, and archived sites occupy slots; items in the trash do not. See Carrd’s site-slot guide before deciding whether your account has room.
As listed on Carrd’s plans page on October 7, 2026, the annual prices and slot counts were:
Rank #2
| Plan | Price shown | Site slots |
|---|---|---|
| Pro Lite | $9 per year | 3 |
| Pro Standard | $19 per year | 10 |
| Pro Plus | $49 per year | 25 |
Prices and plan features can change; confirm current details on Carrd’s plans page. Multiple sites solve the problem of publishing separate sites within the account’s slot allowance. They do not, on their own, turn one Carrd site into a conventional multi-page site.

Custom domains require Pro Standard or higher
Publishing to a custom domain or custom subdomain requires Pro Standard or higher, and you must register the domain separately. Carrd’s setup instructions explain that DNS records point the domain to the Carrd site and are usually configured with the domain provider. Follow Carrd’s guides for custom domains and custom subdomains.
Rank #3
Redirects can create shortcuts, not a separate content system
Carrd supports redirects for slash-style paths such as /about. A path can point to a section, an external URL, or the site itself. These can be useful shortcuts, but a redirect alone does not establish that the content has become a conventional multi-page site. Carrd describes the setup in its redirect guide.
When to evaluate a multi-page platform
Consider a platform designed around multiple pages if each topic needs its own persistent destination, if pages require independent structure, or if your content is growing in ways that are hard to organize as sections or separate Carrd sites. Evaluate the platform against the actual requirements: page structure, navigation, domain setup, and the work involved in managing content.
Rank #4
Do not make the move solely on the assumption that it will improve search rankings. No outcome data establishes an SEO benefit from moving a Carrd site to multiple pages. A current independent discussion of this decision frames the maintenance issue as “the page has become a long scroll you’re afraid to touch”; that is an editorial description, not a measured finding about Carrd users. See Swebsy Docs’ discussion.
