Seedance 2.5 API Pricing: How to Compare Providers and Production Workflows

Seedance 2.5 API pricing varies by provider and account. Learn how to compare quotes, model limits, credit billing, job workflows and production requirements.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

There is no single Seedance 2.5 API price established across providers. The available routes describe different credit systems, model limits and job workflows, so compare the exact provider account and request you plan to use—not a headline credit figure. For production, verify the model ID and access, quote a representative generation, then account for reference-media charges, retries, asynchronous job handling and output retrieval.

What does Seedance 2.5 API pricing mean?

It depends on who operates the API endpoint and which account balance it draws from. The seedance2-5.com API documentation says its API uses the same balance and pricing as its website, and requires an active paid subscription or purchased credits. The Seedance2video.io Models & Pricing documentation says its API follows its PC credit pricing and identifies the accepted response field billing.cost_credits as the authoritative charge. Those are separate provider-specific terms, not a universal Seedance 2.5 rate.

The pricing passage on Seedance2video.io gives examples for Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini—not Seedance 2.5. It lists 464 credits for Seedance 2.0 Fast and 288 credits for Seedance 2.0 Mini in a normal-mode example at 720p, 9:16, and eight seconds using reference inputs only. The page says aspect ratio does not change those example prices and that input video is priced separately by total duration. Do not use those figures to forecast Seedance 2.5 costs.

The sources reviewed do not establish a direct ByteDance API price schedule or a global availability policy. Treat any quoted price, model access, or account eligibility as specific to the provider and account offering it, and verify the current terms before committing production traffic.

Which provider and model limits should you compare?

Model names alone are not enough: account plan, available resolution, duration, reference inputs and total input caps differ across documented routes. The Seeddance API guide says plan limits can prevent a task from being created and describes one set of Seedance 2.5 limits. Seedance2video.io documents a different set. Leonardo.AI also provides a REST request example for Seedance 2.5, but the cited guide passage does not establish comparable pricing.

Route and documentation checked Seedance 2.5 limits described Pricing information established
Seeddance API guide, accessed 2026 4–30 seconds at 480p or 720p; up to 30 images, 10 videos and 10 audio references. No comparable Seedance 2.5 unit price established in the cited material.
Seedance2video.io guide, accessed 2026 4–30 seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p; up to 30 images, 10 videos, 10 audio files and 50 files total. Its pricing page describes the provider’s credit system, but the cited examples are Seedance 2.0 models, not Seedance 2.5.
Leonardo.AI REST guide, accessed 2026 A Seedance 2.5 request example includes prompt, width and height, duration, audio setting and seed. Not stated in the cited guide passage.

These are descriptions in provider documentation, not a shared specification. Before implementation, confirm that the exact model is enabled for your API key and account plan, and that the required resolution, duration, aspect ratio, audio behavior and reference modes are available on that route.

How do you estimate the real cost of a production request?

Start with a representative job rather than a generic per-credit or per-second claim. Match the request you intend to ship: model ID, resolution, duration, prompt and reference media. Include any separately billed input video, then compare the provider’s quote with the accepted task’s billing record.

  1. Identify the billable unit. Establish whether the provider charges by output, input-video duration, task, credits or another measure, and whether a paid plan or purchased balance is required.
  2. Request an estimate where supported. The documented seedance2-5.com API includes POST /quotes before POST /videos. Record the quote for the exact request you plan to submit.
  3. Check the accepted task record. Seedance2video.io says to treat billing.cost_credits in its accepted response as authoritative. Compare actual billed credits with the quote or estimate; do not assume that another provider uses the same field or rule.
  4. Include failures and retries in the forecast. Confirm what happens to charges when a request is rejected, a generation fails, or your client retries after a timeout. Refund rules and duplicate-job protections are provider-specific.

For a useful internal estimate, run representative requests across the output settings and reference combinations you expect to use, and record quoted and final billed amounts from your own account. The cited documentation does not provide a comparable Seedance 2.5 unit price across providers, so a universal cost-per-video figure would be unsupported.

What production workflow does each API require?

Most production differences show up after authentication: whether submission is asynchronous, how jobs are tracked, how retries are made safe, and how output files are retrieved. Treat each control as a provider feature to verify, not a shared Seedance API standard.

1. Confirm access before building

Check the account’s live model catalog, plan and region eligibility, and confirm that the API key can use the required Seedance 2.5 model and output options. The Seeddance guide says plan limits can cause errors before task creation. Do not assume that a model name or capability on one hosted route maps to another provider’s endpoint.

2. Keep credentials on your server

The seedance2-5.com API documentation specifies bearer authentication and warns against placing API keys in browser code. Keep credentials in server-side configuration or a secrets manager, and make secure key handling part of integration acceptance.

3. Submit and track jobs safely

The seedance2-5.com documentation describes quote and video-submission endpoints, asynchronous status retrieval and result download URLs. It says its documented version does not offer video or audio references, editing, webhooks or cancellation endpoints. Those limits apply to that version, not necessarily other providers.

Sedance.app documents a different asynchronous pattern: an immediate 202 response, held credits, polling, idempotency keys and rate-limit headers. If the chosen provider supports idempotency keys, use them for safe retries; persist each returned job identifier and poll until the provider reports a terminal state. Do not build around webhooks, cancellation or particular rate-limit headers unless the selected API documents them.

4. Prepare reference media to the selected route’s rules

The Seeddance guide requires publicly accessible HTTPS media URLs and specifies image, video and audio format, size and duration constraints. Seedance2video.io also documents approved HTTPS storage hosts. Confirm whether the route accepts arbitrary URLs, requires an approved host or provides an upload pathway, and check its exact media requirements before sending production jobs.

5. Define error, refund and throughput behavior

One provider says unsupported model-and-plan combinations fail before task creation; another describes failure refunds under its existing credit logic; Sedance.app documents rate-limit headers. These examples are not interchangeable guarantees. Verify the selected provider’s rejection, failure, refund, concurrency and rate-limit behavior against its current documentation and contract before using it to forecast spend or throughput.

How should you compare API providers?

Build a comparison around the same workload and record a checked date for each provider row. A useful comparison separates features documented by the provider from terms you still need to obtain or test.

Comparison area What to record
Pricing and billing Quote endpoint availability; billable units for output and reference inputs; credit conversion; required subscription or purchased balance; final task charge; failure and refund rules.
Model capabilities Exact model ID; text, image/frame, video and audio reference support; editing; resolution; duration; aspect ratio; audio generation; and per-type and total input caps.
Account access Region and plan eligibility; API-key access; credit requirements; and whether the model and required options are enabled for the specific account.
Job contract Synchronous or asynchronous submission; response and task IDs; polling guidance; webhooks; cancellation; idempotency; rate limits; and terminal-state and failure behavior.
Media handling Approved URL hosts or upload method; accepted formats; dimensions, sizes and durations; retention; and output URL expiration.
Operations and governance Data retention terms, support route, uptime or latency evidence, concurrency limits and contractual remedies.

The available documentation does not establish comparable uptime, latency, retention, concurrency or contractual remedies across the routes. Obtain current provider terms or measure the behavior under your own workload before choosing a provider on those grounds.

Quick Recap

What should you verify before launch?

  • Record the provider, account, region, plan and exact model ID you tested.
  • Save a quote or estimate and compare it with the accepted task’s actual billable record.
  • Test the production resolution, duration, audio settings and reference-media combination—not just a minimal prompt.
  • Confirm authentication, job persistence, polling intervals, retry safety and terminal-state handling.
  • Verify upload or URL-host requirements, media limits and output retrieval or expiration behavior.
  • Document failure charges, refunds, rate limits, concurrency and support escalation using the provider’s current terms.
