The Sealy Posturepedic Aspire Belmonte is a discontinued, queen-size spring mattress with a claimed firm feel. CHOICE lists its construction and dimensions, but its expert rating and performance test results are available only to members. Current stock, pricing, and a successor model are not established by the public sources, so treat the Belmonte as a model to identify and compare—not a mattress with a verified current offer.
What the Aspire Belmonte is
CHOICE describes the Aspire Belmonte as an instore-retail mattress with a light-spring core and a claimed firm feel. Its published specifications are for the queen size. The product page marks the model discontinued.

What the public testing can—and cannot—tell you
CHOICE displays an Expert Rating and results for support, stability, sagging resistance, breathability, wear, and warmth, but those results are member-only. The public material does not establish a numerical rating or measured outcome for any of those tests. A claimed firm feel is a product description, not evidence that the mattress delivered a particular firmness or support result in testing.
#1 Best Overall
- 2” SEALYCOMFORT GEL MEMORY FOAM: This cushioning gel memory foam layer conforms to the shape of your body, providing tailored pressure relief and support where you need it most
- 2.25” SEALYSUPPORT TRANSITION FOAM: This additional layer of high-density foam enhances the overall comfort of the queen mattress in a box by offering extra support and durability
- 7” SEALYRESPONSIVE ENCASED COILS: Featuring individually encased coils, this 12 inch queen mattress provides targeted support across the entire surface, allowing for independent movement and reduced motion transfer
- CERTIPUR-US CERTIFIED: The Sealy Dreamlife mattress foam meets the strict standards set by CertiPUR-US, ensuring it is made without certain harmful chemicals including formaldehyde, ozone depleters, phthalates regulated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, or mercury, lead or other heavy metals.
- SURFACE-GUARD TECHNOLOGY: Built-in antimicrobial protection with Surface-Guard Technology helps prevent the growth of bacteria and the buildup of allergens on the mattress surface
That makes a definitive performance verdict impossible from the publicly available information. Do not treat the spring count, number of layers, or listed thickness as a substitute for test results or a personal fit assessment.
Price and availability: historical figures, not a current deal
CHOICE marks the Belmonte discontinued. Its review page lists A$2,199, while a separate CHOICE investigation recorded a shopper paying A$999 for an Aspire Belmonte listed at A$2,199. That transaction came from purchases at various New South Wales stores in May and June 2017; it is historical, not a current quote, a verified saving available today, or proof of current stock. See CHOICE’s mattress-price investigation.

No named mattress is established as an equivalent replacement. Compare the specifications and buying terms of any candidate rather than assuming another Sealy model—or a similarly named mattress—is a successor.
