To ask ScreenshotMachine to request a page in Hindi, pass accept-language=hi with the screenshot request. Its documentation says this parameter sets the target page’s Accept-Language header, but its example is en-US—Hindi is an adaptation of the documented behavior, not a vendor-provided Hindi example or a guarantee that a site will serve Hindi. If the site has a Hindi-specific URL, use that too.
Make a Hindi-language screenshot request
ScreenshotMachine documents HTTP GET requests to https://api.screenshotmachine.com/. Provide your API key with key, the page to capture with url, and the language header value with accept-language. The following cURL command asks for a 1366 × 768 PNG from a desktop page:

If building a request URL manually, percent-encode the target URL and other reserved characters rather than inserting them raw.

Choose language, viewport and page coverage
The language parameter expresses a request preference; it does not translate a page. The target site decides whether and how to respond to it. Where available, a Hindi route or locale selector on the site is often important to the request alongside the header.

Other documented controls include click to activate a CSS selector before capture, hide to remove selected elements, selector to capture one DOM element, and crop to capture a viewport region. These can refine what is captured, but they are not required to request Hindi.
Check why the screenshot is not in Hindi
- Start with the page’s Hindi route. If the site provides a Hindi URL or locale path, request it directly. The language header does not establish or force a translation.
- Confirm the parameter is encoded and named correctly. Pass
accept-language=hias a query parameter. Use a query encoder rather than manually concatenating a URL containing unescaped reserved characters. - Allow enough rendering time for the page. For a full-page capture with late images or animations, try a longer
delay, within the documented 0–10,000 ms range. A delay is only a wait period, not proof that all content has loaded. - Check API error responses first. ScreenshotMachine documents the
X-Screenshotmachine-Responseheader and error values includinginvalid_url,invalid_key,missing_key,missing_url, andno_credits. Fix the corresponding URL, key, missing parameter, or account-credit issue before investigating language behavior. - Investigate the site’s locale behavior if the request succeeds. A site may ignore the header, use other signals, or require a language selection or locale URL. The API documentation does not establish Hindi-font handling, glyph fallback, or the result for any particular website.
