What viewport and full-page mean
viewport sets the screen dimensions used to frame the capture. Screenshotlayer says you can choose a standard mobile, tablet, or desktop size, or specify a custom viewport. A viewport capture shows the configured screen area rather than asking for the entire page height.

fullpage=1 requests a full-height screenshot. Screenshotlayer’s product page demonstrates it alongside viewport=2560x1440. The documentation describes the result as full height, but does not specify whether the renderer stitches multiple scroll captures or uses another method. - Choose a viewport capture for a device-style mockup, an above-the-fold view, or a consistent screen-sized comparison. These are practical uses of the configured framing, not independently tested outcomes.
- Choose full page when you need to include content below the visible screen, such as for a page record.
Neither mode is inherently higher quality based on the available documentation: the distinction is coverage and framing, not a measured quality difference.

How viewport, fullpage, and width relate

Other options shown by Screenshotlayer—including custom CSS, delay, cache time, forced refresh, output format, user agent, and accept-language—are separate rendering or output controls. They are not alternatives to fullpage.
How to request a full-page Screenshotlayer capture
Use Screenshotlayer’s documented fullpage=1 parameter in the API request. The exact request syntax and authentication details depend on its current API documentation; the product examples establish the parameter, but the available information here does not establish a complete runnable request or universal response format. Consult the vendor’s API examples before implementing.

For viewport framing, choose a standard device size or custom viewport; for a full-height result, add fullpage=1. Do not use width as a substitute for viewport dimensions.

Screenshotlayer’s FAQ says its format parameter can return PNG (the default), JPEG, or GIF. Its pricing page listed, when retrieved in 2026, a Free plan with 100 monthly snapshots, Basic at $19.99/month for 10,000, Professional at $59.99/month for 30,000, and Enterprise at $149.99/month for 75,000. These are vendor-listed plan figures, not independent market data; check current pricing for updated plan names, prices, quotas, and feature availability.

There is a material discrepancy in Screenshotlayer’s published over-limit information: the pricing FAQ describes notifications at 75%, 90%, and 100% of allowance followed by overage charges, while its terms say excess usage may return an error and prevent further calls during the current monthly term. Confirm the current account terms and overage rules rather than assuming either outcome.
