The dependable Satisfactory dedicated-server console commands are quit, stop, exit, server.SaveGame <saveName>, server.GenerateAPIToken and server.InvalidateAPITokens. Run them from the server’s Server Manager → Console tab. A genuinely complete, version-independent list does not exist: commands change between updates, and the frequently copied FG.* commands are reported as unsupported from Update 8 onward by some references. Treat this as a reliable core list plus a safe method for checking what your own build accepts.

What the Satisfactory server console can and cannot do
The console is an administrative interface for a Satisfactory dedicated server, not the same thing as the in-game chat console or a client debugging window. It accepts commands in Server Manager and applies them to the server process or its server configuration. The console does not provide the familiar single-player cheat set for a dedicated server.

Satisfactory has no in-game dedicated-server commands for kicking, banning or granting items. Use Server Manager controls, configuration files or the HTTPS API for administration that is not exposed as a console command. Client-side diagnostics such as Stat FPS and Stat Unit belong to the game client and should not be entered as server-console commands.
How to open and use the console
- Open the Server Manager for the dedicated server you want to administer.
- Select the server and open the Console tab.
- Click the command-entry field, type one command exactly, and submit it. Do not add a leading slash.
- Read the response in the console. For uncertain commands, enter
?first; many builds return the commands available to that server. - After changing a setting, verify the result in the relevant Server Manager tab or configuration file, and restart only when the setting or the server’s response indicates that a restart is required.
Console availability and command names are tied to the game build. Recheck the command list after a Satisfactory patch rather than assuming an older guide still applies.

Stopping a server
quit, stop and exit are reported as shutdown aliases. Enter one in the Console tab and wait for the process to close before starting it again. If one alias is not recognized, try another; the accepted spelling can vary by build or wrapper.
Making a named save
Use server.SaveGame <saveName> to create a save with a name you can identify later. A single-word name needs no quotation marks. Names with spaces must be quoted, such as server.SaveGame "Before rail expansion". Keep the command on one line and check the console response for confirmation or an error.

Managing HTTPS API tokens
server.GenerateAPIToken creates an application token for the server’s HTTPS API. Generate a token only in a secured Server Manager session and store it using the same care as any other administrative credential. If tokens are exposed, or you need to invalidate old access, run server.InvalidateAPITokens; that command revokes all existing API tokens at once. The console does not provide a selective revoke command in the core list.

The disputed FG.* commands
Many online command lists include FG.* entries. Their status is not consistent across versions or sources. References disagree about whether they work on Update 8 and later, and a community report describes Server Manager returning “command not recognized” for both FG.AutosaveInterval and FG.NetworkQuality on Update 8. Do not put these commands into an unattended maintenance script until ? or a controlled test proves that your build accepts them.
FG.AutosaveInterval <seconds>
One guide documents FG.AutosaveInterval <seconds> and gives 300 as its stated default. Other references say FG.* commands are not supported from Update 8 onward. The unit is also a source of confusion: the command-oriented description uses seconds, while configuration guides describe an autosave setting in minutes. Never convert a value or copy a default without checking which interface and version it belongs to.
FG.NetworkQuality <value>
A separate guide says that value 3 matches the client’s “Ultra” network-quality setting. The same command is included in reports of Update 8 rejection, so the value is not a universal recommendation. Verify acceptance with ? and confirm the resulting setting in Server Manager before relying on it.

FG.DisableSeasonalEvents
One guide lists this command as a way to toggle the FICSmas seasonal event and says a restart is required. That behavior is not corroborated by the other references reviewed. Consider it unverified: do not use it for production scheduling unless your build lists it and a restart test confirms the outcome.
Autosave and network settings: why guides disagree
The same setting can appear in Server Manager, an INI file or a console command, and the spelling, units and persistence rules are not identical. This is why copying a line from an older “complete list” can silently do nothing.

A safe way to identify the active setting
- Record the current value in Server Manager’s Settings tab.
- Change only one setting and save it.
- Stop the server cleanly with
stopor another accepted shutdown alias. - Inspect which configuration file changed, if any, and note the exact key spelling and units displayed by the UI.
- Restart the server and confirm the value again. If the change disappears, the file or command was not authoritative for that build.
Configuration references also list values such as MaxPlayers and AllowCheats. Their defaults and accepted locations can change, so confirm them against the configuration generated by your own server rather than importing a generic file.

Commands that do not work as dedicated-server administration
Creative and cheat commands
Fly, Ghost, GiveItem and Teleport may appear in autocomplete or in lists intended for a local client, but they are reported not to work on dedicated servers. Their presence in autocomplete is not proof that the server will execute them. Use the server’s configuration and supported API or UI controls for administration.
Client statistics
Stat FPS and Stat Unit display client-side diagnostics. They measure the machine running the game client, not dedicated-server performance, and therefore do not belong in the Server Manager console.
Console, UI, INI or HTTPS API: which method should you use?

For a one-time save or shutdown, use the console. For a persistent setting, prefer the Server Manager UI when it exposes the option, because it shows the value and unit used by that build. Use INI editing only when you can identify the authoritative file generated by your installation. Use the HTTPS API for automation after securing and testing token access.

Troubleshooting rejected or ineffective commands
“Command not recognized”
- Run
?and compare the spelling shown by your server. - Check capitalization, punctuation and spaces;
server.SaveGameis not the same as a guessed variant. - Assume an
FG.*command may be unsupported on Update 8 or a later build. - Restart the Server Manager connection and confirm that you are using the intended server’s Console tab.
The command is accepted but nothing changes
- For settings, check whether the command is transient and whether a restart is required.
- Inspect the configuration file after a clean shutdown to see whether the value was persisted.
- Look for unit mismatches, especially seconds versus minutes for autosave.
- Make one change at a time so you can identify which key or interface is authoritative.
A save name is rejected
Use quotation marks around names containing spaces and avoid adding extra arguments. Test with a simple one-word name first; then create the descriptive name once the command is confirmed.

Run server.InvalidateAPITokens to revoke every existing token, then generate a replacement with server.GenerateAPIToken. Because invalidation is global, coordinate it with every automation process that uses the server API.
Version discipline and maintenance checklist
Command behavior is volatile. Update 8 is specifically associated with reports that several FG.* commands no longer work, and other references cite version 5.0.4 when discussing command availability. Before applying a guide to a live server, record the game version and run a harmless discovery check.
- Record the Satisfactory update and dedicated-server build.
- Open Server Manager → Console and run
?. - Confirm shutdown and save commands on a test or maintenance window.
- Use the Settings tab for persistent values whenever it exposes the option.
- Back up configuration files before manual edits.
- After every game patch, retest autosave, network-quality and API-token workflows.
This process is safer than treating any web page as a permanent “complete list.” The universally useful part of the console is small, while the rest is release-specific.
The Bottom Line
Use Server Manager → Console for quit/stop/exit, named saves and API-token management. Treat FG.* commands and INI examples as version-dependent, verify them with ? and your own server settings, and do not expect client cheat or statistic commands to work on a dedicated server.
