Sapthagiri NPS University (SNPSU) announced on October 6, 2026, that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Google to introduce an Agentic AI programme. The announcement describes it as Karnataka’s first university-level Agentic AI programme partnered with Google Cloud; that “first” description is SNPSU’s claim and is not independently verified in the announcement.

SNPSU says the collaboration brings together expertise from Google Cloud, Google for Education and Google AI. The MoU signing took place at Google’s Bengaluru-Ananta campus. The announcement names Shanoop, Head, Google AI GTM, India; G. D. Manoj, Pro-Chancellor of SNPSU; Dr. Jayanthi V., Vice Chancellor of SNPSU; and Navisha Prabhakar, Regional Head – South, Google for Education. It also says CloudReign’s team contributed technology expertise and industry perspectives.
