To adjust color on a Samsung Smart TV, open Settings (All Settings) > Picture > Expert Settings. Use Color to change overall saturation, or Tint (G/R) to correct a green or red cast. The exact menu and available options vary by model, year, picture mode, and market.
Choose the control that matches what looks wrong

Samsung describes Color and Tint (G/R) as separate controls: saturation is not the same as a green/red hue shift. Its explanations are available in Samsung’s US picture-settings guide and Samsung Canada’s guide to picture settings.

Adjust Color or Tint carefully
- Note your starting settings. Write down the current Picture Mode and any values you plan to change. This gives you a way to restore them manually if you prefer the original look.
- Open the picture controls. On models covered by Samsung’s US instructions, go to Settings (All Settings) > Picture > Expert Settings. Depending on the remote or software, you may need to press Home first and open Settings from the Smart Hub.
- Pick the control for the problem. For colors that are generally too dull or intense, select Color. For an overall green or red cast, select Tint (G/R).
- Make a small change and check familiar content. Reassess the same scene after each adjustment so you can tell whether the change helped. Samsung does not prescribe one numerical value that is correct for every TV, picture mode, source, or room.
- Use Color Tone only for a warm/cool mismatch. If the overall whites or image feel too cool or warm, check Color Tone. The choices shown can depend on model and picture mode; select from the options your TV actually provides.
Picture Mode affects the broader image and can change which controls are available. Samsung’s US guide lists modes including Standard, Dynamic, Eco, Movie, and Filmmaker Mode, but availability and behavior vary by TV.

Why your menus may look different
Samsung cautions that available screens can differ by model and year. Its Canada guidance is specific to TVs sold in Canada and notes that settings may vary in other markets; the India walkthrough for QLED Color Tone also warns that functions vary by model and country. If a setting or menu path is missing, find your TV’s exact model number and consult its product-specific manual or regional Samsung support page. Reset picture settings if you want to undo changes
To restore factory picture settings, open Settings (All Settings) > Picture > Expert Settings > Reset Picture, then confirm. This resets picture settings, so it can undo more than the Color or Tint adjustments you made. Samsung provides reset guidance for US models and Canadian models.

No, not for basic Color or Tint adjustments: both are built into the TV’s picture menu. Samsung notes that a calibration disc can be played through a Blu-ray player for readers pursuing more advanced calibration, but it is optional; its support page does not establish a specific disc model or compatibility for every setup.
