To remove a debit card on a Samsung phone, open Samsung Wallet, tap All, then Payment cards, select the card, tap More options (the three vertical dots), choose Delete card, pick a reason if prompted, tap Delete, and confirm with your Samsung Wallet PIN or biometrics. That removes the card’s payment data from that device only. It does not cancel the physical card, and a Galaxy Watch needs its own removal.
Remove the card on your Galaxy phone
Samsung’s current US support steps for removing a payment card from Samsung Wallet are below. Samsung’s US support article on removing a payment card describes this path. Menu labels can differ slightly by app version, device model, and region, so if a label is missing, look for the same option in the same place.

- Open Samsung Wallet.
- Tap All, then Payment cards.
- Select the debit card you want to remove.
- Tap More options (three vertical dots).
- Tap Delete card. If Samsung asks for a reason, choose one.
- Tap Delete, then enter your Samsung Wallet PIN or authenticate with biometrics.
When the deletion finishes, the card no longer appears in Samsung Wallet on that phone and its digital card number is removed from that device.

Remove the card from a Galaxy Watch
Samsung Wallet on a watch is separate from the one on your phone. If the goal is to stop the card from being used on every Samsung device you own, you have to remove it from the watch as well. Samsung says you can do this directly on the watch or through the Galaxy Wearable companion app.

Remove the card on the watch
- Press and hold the Back button to launch Samsung Pay/Wallet.
- Enter your PIN.
- Select the card if the watch does not already show it.
- Open More options.
- Choose Delete, then tap the minus sign to confirm.
Remove the card through Galaxy Wearable
The menu path in Galaxy Wearable depends on the watch model. Samsung documents the following paths:

What removing the card does and does not change
- The physical card stays active. Removing the card from Samsung Wallet deletes only the wallet copy. Samsung’s US support article says it plainly: “But remember, when you delete a card in Samsung Wallet, your physical card will remain active.” To stop the card from being used anywhere, contact your bank or card issuer to cancel the card or close the account.
- Each device is handled separately. Deleting the card from one phone or watch does not delete it from others. Samsung’s Wallet FAQ states: “If you use Samsung Wallet or Samsung Pay on more than one device, deleting a card from one device does not delete the card from other devices.”
- Transfer features and history can change. In the US FAQ, Samsung says deleting a debit card stops Tap to Transfer or Online Transfer using that card and removes its transaction history from Samsung Wallet. Your bank’s own transaction records are not affected. Transfer features and their availability depend on market.
If a debit card disappeared from Samsung Wallet
If you did not delete a card and it is gone, the cause may involve your card issuer or the wallet’s payment-password check. Samsung Electronics Korea’s support page on cards that are deleted or not registered in Samsung Wallet lists these possible causes, which are specific to Korea:

The number of attempts allowed varies by issuer.
- The issuer may suspend the card or block transactions, and the card can then be removed from the wallet.
- A reported lost or stolen card can also lead to removal.
Start by checking whether the physical card still works. If it is blocked or lost, contact the issuer. Then re-add the card in Samsung Wallet if the issuer has restored it. The page is Korea-specific guidance, so the exact behavior in your market may differ.

If your phone or watch is lost or stolen
Secure the device first. Samsung’s US Wallet FAQ points to Samsung’s remote security and device-management options for locking or erasing Wallet data. The exact route depends on your Samsung account and how the device was set up, so follow the current prompts in your Samsung account or device settings. Then contact your card issuer about the lost card. Removing cards from a stolen device by hand is usually not possible, which is why the issuer call matters.

Quick checklist
- Delete the card on the phone you still have.
- Delete the card on each Galaxy Watch that holds it.
- Contact the issuer to cancel the physical card if you want it unusable everywhere.
- Check the bank’s own statements for transactions made before removal.
