Its clearest practical strengths are the flexible cooking area and detailed fit specifications; its main caveats are that SmartThings offers monitoring rather than remote on/off control, and the available customer feedback is too small and self-selected to establish performance or reliability. Before considering one, check the bench cut-out and have a qualified local installer confirm the electrical requirements.
What is the Samsung NZ64B6058KK?
Samsung lists the NZ64B6058KK/SA as a black, built-in 60 cm induction cooktop with four cooking zones and touch-and-dial controls. Its control dial is magnetic and removable, so it can be taken off for cleaning. Samsung lists 15 power levels plus Boost, four Boost settings, a timer, pause, child safety lock, residual-heat indicator, pan detection, safety shutoff and a high-temperature limit. These are manufacturer-listed features; consult the model manual for operating details and cautions.

Will it fit your bench and electrical supply?
Samsung New Zealand lists the cooktop at 590 × 44 × 520 mm, with a required bench cut-out of 560 × 480 mm. Those are product-page specifications, not a substitute for checking the installation manual and the conditions at your home. Confirm the cut-out, clearances and installation method with a qualified local installer before modifying a bench.
The listed electrical specification is 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz, with a total power rating of 7.4 kW. That rating does not establish that an existing household circuit is suitable. Ask a qualified electrician or installer to assess the local supply and applicable installation requirements.

What does Flex Zone Plus accommodate?
Samsung describes Flex Zone Plus as a broad cooking area for varied cookware, including larger or elongated dishes. It lists cookware up to 38 × 21 cm per area and a 14 cm minimum detectable cookware-base diameter. Samsung says the zone can detect the number, size and shape of dishes; treat that as a manufacturer claim rather than an independent performance test.
Check that each pan is induction-compatible and compare the dimensions of its base—not just the rim or overall pan size—with the zone guidance. The listed minimum detection diameter does not mean every pan will perform equally well on every part of the cooktop.

What can SmartThings do—and not do?
The cooktop has embedded Wi-Fi and supports Samsung SmartThings. Samsung says the app can monitor the cooktop, but it cannot turn the appliance on or off from a phone. Setup requires Wi-Fi and a Samsung account. SmartThings Cooking also offers recipes and meal planning in the app; Samsung does not establish that those recipes are specially optimized for this model. Check current app-store compatibility if your phone’s operating-system version is a deciding factor.
How should you read the customer reviews?
Samsung New Zealand’s product page displayed 4.3 out of 5 from 15 reviews and an 86% recommendation figure when checked in 2026. Review counts and scores can change. Comments include praise for fast heating and appearance, alongside individual concerns about app usefulness, confusing controls and scratching. These are customer impressions, not controlled tests or proof of a universal defect.
