Samsung’s Android 17 update is called One UI 9. As of October 1, 2026, Samsung had confirmed the stable rollout beginning on Galaxy S26 models, while a dated report also listed limited stable availability for select Galaxy S25 and Z-series devices. The rollout is gradual, so a model’s appearance on this list does not mean the update is available in every country or for every carrier variant.
Galaxy devices reported with stable Android 17
The following is a snapshot reported by 9to5Google on October 1, 2026—not a complete Samsung-published rollout schedule. That report marked the S25 and Z-series entries below as having limited availability.

| Galaxy family | Models reported | Status in the October 1 report |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26 | Galaxy S26, S26+, S26 Ultra | Samsung said the stable One UI 9 rollout was beginning for these models on September 16, 2026. |
| Galaxy S25 | Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE, S25 Edge | Limited availability reported by 9to5Google on October 1, 2026. |
| Galaxy Z | Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Z Flip7 FE, Z TriFold | Limited availability reported by 9to5Google on October 1, 2026. |
Samsung separately said One UI 9 had debuted on Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8, and Z Flip8. Its September 16 announcement did not identify those models as the start of the stable rollout to other devices; it said the update was expected to gradually roll out to other Galaxy devices. Samsung’s announcement is U.S.-specific, and availability may vary by country, region, language, model, and OS or One UI version. The October 1 list is an independent media report, not an official worldwide status list. 9to5Google’s dated report is the source for its limited-availability entries.

Check the exact device rather than assuming every phone in a listed family is eligible now. Samsung says timing can vary by model and location, and carrier or unlocked versions may not receive an update at the same time.

- Open Settings on your Galaxy device.
- Tap Software update.
- Tap Download and install and follow any on-screen instructions if an update is offered.
If no update appears, that only tells you it is not being offered to that device through that check at that time; it does not establish that another regional or carrier version has the same status. Check local Samsung or carrier support information for your exact model.
Stable updates, beta access, and predicted eligibility are different
Samsung announced One UI 9 beta access for the S26 series in select markets on May 12, 2026, then announced beta expansion to the Z Fold7, Z Flip7, S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 FE in select markets on September 1. Those announcements describe beta testing, not stable-update availability. Likewise, an eligibility prediction is not confirmation that a device has received the update; SamMobile describes its list as a policy-based reference rather than an official Samsung list. Samsung’s announcements and SamMobile’s eligibility reference should be read with that distinction in mind.
