For multitasking, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 has the stronger documented case: Samsung promotes its Multi Window features, and a Tom’s Guide reviewer reported using three apps at once without noticeable lag. That is not a matched test against the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, so it supports a cautious edge for Samsung—not a definitive head-to-head win.
For entertainment, both phones have an 8-inch internal display according to their manufacturers. Samsung highlights the regular Fold8’s 4:3 screen format for movies and games; Google specifies HDR and peak brightness up to 3,600 nits for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s internal display. Those specifications do not establish which looks better in everyday viewing.

This comparison is between the 2026 Galaxy Z Fold8 and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is a separate model, not another name for the regular Fold8.
Which foldable is better for multitasking?
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is the more evidence-backed choice if your priority is having several apps open together. Samsung describes Multi Window as a feature for its large foldable screens, and Tom’s Guide reported that its reviewer ran three apps at once on the Fold8 without noticeable lag. The report is an observation about the Fold8 alone, not a controlled comparison with Google’s phone. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 product information and Tom’s Guide’s Fold8 review provide those details.

Google’s published Pixel 11 Pro Fold specifications describe the hardware but do not establish a comparable three-app result. That means Samsung has the stronger documented multitasking case in the available evidence; it does not prove that the Pixel handles the same apps or workload less well. App behavior, software experience, and sustained performance would need a direct, matched test to rank confidently.
Which foldable is better for watching movies and gaming?
Both offer an 8-inch internal display, but the published details emphasize different strengths. Samsung describes the regular Galaxy Z Fold8’s main screen as a 7.6-inch display with a 4:3 format intended to suit movies and games. Google lists the Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s internal display as an 8-inch OLED panel with 2,076 × 2,152 resolution, a 1–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR, and peak brightness up to 3,600 nits. The diagonal measurements and formats are not a direct picture-quality test. The Pixel’s listed peak-brightness figure is a manufacturer specification under defined conditions, not a promise of sustained full-screen brightness or proof that it will appear brighter in every scene. Samsung’s format positioning is a useful design claim, not evidence that every movie or game will look better on the Fold8. Neither set of specifications settles speaker quality, sustained gaming performance, or which phone offers the better overall viewing experience.

Can the Galaxy Z Fold8 run three apps at once?
Tom’s Guide reported that its reviewer used three on-screen apps simultaneously on the Fold8 without noticeable lag. Treat this as a reviewer observation, not a guarantee for every app combination or a benchmark result. It also does not show how the Pixel 11 Pro Fold performs with the same apps, settings, and workload.

Is the Pixel Fold screen brighter than the Galaxy Z Fold screen?
Google publishes an internal-display peak-brightness figure of up to 3,600 nits for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The cited Samsung material does not provide a comparable regular Fold8 brightness figure, so the available specifications cannot establish which phone is brighter overall. A peak figure also does not describe brightness in every scene or sustained use.
What do the battery figures tell you?
Samsung lists a typical battery capacity of 4,800 mAh for the regular Galaxy Z Fold8. Capacity alone does not predict how long either phone lasts, and the cited material does not provide a comparable Pixel figure or a matched battery-endurance test. Samsung’s product information also explains that its playback estimate uses pre-release hardware, Bluetooth earphones, LTE defaults, and locally stored 720p video; actual playback varies with network, settings, video format, brightness, battery condition, and other factors. This is a testing method note, not evidence that the Fold8 lasts longer than the Pixel.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Galaxy Z Fold8 if simultaneous apps are your main priority. Samsung’s Multi Window positioning and the reported three-app use give it the clearer documented case, though the evidence is not a direct Pixel comparison.
- Consider the Pixel 11 Pro Fold if its published display specifications match your priorities. Google lists HDR, a 1–120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 3,600 nits for its internal screen; those specifications are not a verdict on real-world picture quality.
- Do not choose on battery life or overall entertainment quality from these figures alone. The available evidence does not include matched endurance, viewing, speaker, or gaming tests.
Prices and availability vary by country, storage configuration, retailer, and offers; the cited material does not establish a reliable global price comparison. Check current local listings for the configuration you intend to buy.
