Which S Pen features does a Galaxy Ultra have?

Listed functions include Air Command, notes, AI Select, Screen Write, Translate, Magnify, PENUP, Calendar writing, Air View hover previews, handwriting conversion in text fields, and quick notes. Does the Galaxy Ultra S Pen have Bluetooth Air Actions?
Not on the S25 Ultra or S26 Ultra, according to Samsung’s current compatibility guidance. Air Actions are remote Bluetooth controls, such as gestures or button-triggered commands. Samsung lists the S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, and S24 Ultra as compatible, and explicitly excludes the S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra pens. How long will a Galaxy Ultra receive Android, One UI, and security updates?
Samsung’s published commitment depends on the model cohort. The figures below describe the stated support duration, not a promise that a given update will arrive on the same date in every market.

“Up to” is important for the older select-device policy: the announcement does not establish one universal end date for every model. The S25 and S26 statements specify years of security support from global launch, but do not establish a particular local release date for each Android or One UI version.

When will my Galaxy Ultra get the next update?
A support-duration promise is not a rollout calendar. Samsung says update eligibility and timing can vary by model, country, and carrier, and schedules can change. For a dated example, Samsung India’s One UI 8 page, dated October 1, 2026, describes One UI 8 with Android 16 and lists eligible devices and target dates. Samsung warns that dates and eligible devices can change, an update may be paused to fix an issue, and schedules or features can differ by model, country, or operator. - Check Samsung’s software-update support page for your country and carrier; confirm it names your exact phone model.
- On the phone, open Settings > Software update and check for an available update.
- If the phone does not show an update, use the local schedule as a guide rather than assuming the model has lost support; rollout timing can vary.
What should I check before choosing an S Pen or judging support?
- For pen features, compare the exact phone generation and whether you need Bluetooth Air Actions or only on-screen writing.
