Samsung’s current Galaxy S26 lineup has three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. There is no “Pro” model in Samsung’s official S26 lineup. The main choice is between the standard phone’s smaller size and lower launch price, the Plus model’s larger screen and battery, and the Ultra’s expanded camera hardware, S Pen support, and Privacy Display.
What are the main differences between the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra?
Samsung’s UK comparison lists the following display and rear-camera specifications. Screen sizes are diagonal measurements; Samsung notes that rounded corners reduce the viewable area. Samsung’s UK materials give the S26 as 6.2 inches in the comparison table, while introductory prose on the same page says 6.3 inches, so the table below consistently uses its comparison-table figures.

| Model | Display | Rear cameras | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26 | 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120 Hz | 50 MP wide, 12 MP ultra-wide, 10 MP telephoto | Smallest model and lowest US launch price of the three. |
| Galaxy S26+ | 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120 Hz | 50 MP wide, 12 MP ultra-wide, 10 MP telephoto | Larger, higher-resolution screen and larger battery than the S26, with the same stated camera resolutions. |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120 Hz; S Pen support | 200 MP wide, 50 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP telephoto, 10 MP telephoto | More advanced camera hardware, S Pen support, and Privacy Display. |
Specifications are from Samsung’s UK Galaxy S26 comparison; Samsung’s US Ultra product page also describes the 200 MP camera and built-in Privacy Display. These hardware differences identify capabilities, not a guarantee that one model will produce better photos for every person or situation.

Choose the Galaxy S26 for a more compact phone
The standard S26 is the smallest of the three in Samsung’s comparison and has an FHD+ display. It is the straightforward choice if a smaller screen and the lowest US launch starting price matter more to you than the Plus model’s larger, higher-resolution display or the Ultra’s additional features.

Choose the Galaxy S26+ for a bigger screen without the Ultra camera tier
The S26+ moves to a 6.7-inch QHD+ display and, in Samsung’s US announcement, a 4,900 mAh battery. Its listed rear-camera resolutions match the standard S26: 50 MP wide, 12 MP ultra-wide, and 10 MP telephoto. It is the middle option for people who want more screen and battery capacity without choosing the Ultra’s camera configuration and S Pen features.
Choose the Galaxy S26 Ultra for its specific extras
The Ultra has the largest display in the comparison, the most extensive listed rear-camera setup, S Pen support, and Privacy Display. Samsung lists its battery as 5,000 mAh typical capacity on the US product page. Those features may matter if you expect to use the pen, want the Ultra’s camera hardware, or value its privacy feature; they do not make it a universal best choice.

Battery capacity and real-world runtime
Samsung’s US announcement lists 4,300 mAh for the S26 and 4,900 mAh for the S26+; its US Ultra product page lists 5,000 mAh typical capacity for the Ultra. Capacity alone does not determine how long a phone lasts between charges. Samsung says actual performance varies with usage and network conditions, so these figures are useful for comparing stated capacities, not as a runtime promise.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is there a Galaxy S26 Pro?
No. Samsung’s official S26 lineup materials list the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, not a Pro model. “Pro” is not an official tier name for this cited generation. Samsung model names and available configurations can differ across generations and markets, so this statement should not be read as a claim about every past or future Galaxy S series.
