The OnePlus 15R lists a larger screen, a higher maximum refresh rate and a bigger battery capacity on paper. The Samsung Galaxy S25+ lists a sharper display, a three-camera rear system with 3× optical zoom, and a smaller, lighter body. Neither specification sheet establishes which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in everyday use. A reliable price difference also depends on the country, storage tier, seller and date.

Which phone has the better display?
OnePlus 15R: bigger screen and higher listed refresh ceiling
The 15R’s 6.83-inch panel is larger, and its listed adaptive refresh modes go as high as 165 Hz. That maximum is not universal: OnePlus limits 144 Hz and 165 Hz to listed apps. If a particular game or app is not supported, the headline maximum does not describe the refresh rate you will get in it.

Galaxy S25+: higher resolution
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch display at 3120 × 1440, compared with 2800 × 1272 for the 15R. The S25+ therefore has the higher stated pixel resolution, while the OnePlus has the larger screen and higher listed refresh ceiling. These figures alone do not establish overall display quality, brightness or how a screen looks in daily use.
Camera comparison: optical zoom is the key hardware difference
Samsung lists three rear cameras and 3× optical zoom. The OnePlus specification lists a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. That gives the S25+ a dedicated optical-zoom capability in its listed rear system; it does not, by itself, prove which phone produces better photos.
Rank #2
- 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display (3120 × 1440) with adaptive 1‑120 Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — providing a large, sharp, and very bright screen.
The listed front-camera resolutions are 32 MP for the 15R and 12 MP for the S25+. Megapixel counts are not a selfie-quality test, so they should not be treated as a direct measure of image results.

OnePlus lists a typical capacity of 7,400 mAh and a rated capacity of 7,250 mAh for the 15R. Samsung lists a typical 4,900 mAh capacity for the S25+ and states up to 30 hours of video playback. Capacity figures are not directly equivalent to real-world endurance: these specifications do not show how long either phone lasts under the same use and test conditions.
Rank #3
- 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display (3120 × 1440) with adaptive 1‑120 Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — providing a large, sharp, and very bright screen.
For charging, the OnePlus US page specifies 55 W SUPERVOOC and separately notes up to 80 W with a named OnePlus adapter. The Samsung specification passage cited here does not establish charging speed. Check the exact regional phone and adapter details before comparing charging times or what is included in the box.
Size and weight
The S25+ is smaller and lighter by the listed measurements: 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3 mm and 190 g, versus 163.41 × 77.04 × 8.30 mm and 214 g or 215 g for the 15R, depending on color. If a more compact, lighter handset matters to you, those dimensions favor Samsung. The OnePlus’s larger screen comes with a larger and heavier body.
Rank #4
- 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display (3120 × 1440) with adaptive 1‑120 Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — providing a large, sharp, and very bright screen.
Software, memory and storage: check the exact regional model
The OnePlus US page identifies a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform and OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, along with 12 GB of memory and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. The cited Samsung page identifies Android but does not establish the S25+ chipset, Android version or memory and storage variants in the retrieved specifications. Confirm those details for the market and model you intend to purchase rather than assuming they match another region.

Price difference: compare the same market and configuration
There is no dependable single price gap to quote from the available price references. A secondary comparison combines multiple currencies and models rather than establishing a same-market, like-for-like price pair. The official OnePlus US pricing page cited here is for the OnePlus 15, not a verified OnePlus 15R price.
For a useful comparison, check the same country, storage tier, unlocked or carrier status, seller type and date. Keep launch MSRP separate from a current sale price: a temporary promotion on one phone should not be presented as a lasting price difference. The cited comparison pages are GSMArena’s comparison and OnePlus US pricing for the OnePlus 15; neither establishes a current, matched 15R-versus-S25+ price.
Quick Recap
Which one fits your priorities?
- Consider the OnePlus 15R’s listed display and battery figures if you want the larger panel, are interested in high-refresh modes supported by specific apps, or prioritize its greater stated battery capacity. Those specifications do not establish real-world gaming smoothness or battery life.
- Consider the Galaxy S25+’s listed camera and dimensions if 3× optical zoom, higher screen resolution, or a smaller and lighter body matters more to you.
- Compare local prices only after confirming storage and seller details. The available price references do not support a current universal price verdict.
