How much is the price difference?
AT&T’s US device comparison, accessed October 7, 2026, lists retail starting prices of $999.99 for the Galaxy S24+ and $799.99 for the Galaxy S25. On that page, the S25 is $200 less. These are listed retail prices, not a survey of all sellers or a promise of today’s unlocked price; installment plans and promotions may have different terms.
The storage tiers are not identical: AT&T lists the S24+ with 256GB or 512GB and the S25 with 128GB or 256GB. Samsung’s January 2024 US launch announcement also set the S24+ launch price at $999.99 for its 256GB and 512GB options. Before treating one as the better value, compare the same storage capacity where possible, plus seller, device condition, carrier lock, and any offer terms. Samsung’s announcement of S25 availability beginning February 7, 2025, is launch timing—not evidence of current inventory or discounts.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh and a peak brightness of ~2,600 nits — giving a noticeably sharper, brighter screen than the base S24.
Which phone fits your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy S24+ for a larger screen
Its 6.7-inch display is 0.5 inches larger diagonally than the S25’s, and AT&T’s listed dimensions make it taller and wider. That extra room is the clearest reason to choose the S24+ if you prefer a larger viewing area. The trade-off is a bigger handset to carry and handle.
Choose the Galaxy S25 for a smaller handset and newer chipset
The S25’s listed dimensions are more compact, and its Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is newer than the S24+’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. Both AT&T listings show 12GB of RAM. The available specifications establish the chipset generation, but do not establish a particular real-world speed advantage or benchmark result.

Battery capacity is not a runtime test
AT&T lists a 4,900 mAh battery for the S24+ and 4,000 mAh for the S25, so the S24+ has greater rated capacity. That figure alone cannot determine which phone lasts longer between charges: actual endurance depends on use, network conditions, and other factors, and the cited product pages do not provide a controlled head-to-head battery test. Samsung describes its stated capacities as typical values based on laboratory measurement and notes that actual battery life varies.
Do the camera specifications favor either phone?
AT&T lists the same headline rear-camera resolutions for both: a 50MP wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Samsung lists 3× optical zoom for the S25 telephoto camera. These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos; a camera-quality verdict would require credible comparative testing.

Verdict: decide by size, storage, and the offer you can actually buy
Consider the S24+ if you specifically want its larger display and higher listed battery capacity, and its price makes sense for the storage tier and condition offered. Consider the S25 if you prefer a smaller phone, want the newer named chipset, or can buy it for less at the same seller and under comparable terms. AT&T’s listed $200 gap is a useful reference point, not a universal verdict on value.
