Yes—the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE appeared in a genuine FCC equipment-authorization record. The filing used FCC ID A3LSMS721B and identified Samsung models SM-S721B/DS and SM-S721B. It documented cellular, 5G, Wi-Fi, 6GHz, MIMO and SAR testing before Samsung announced the phone on September 27, 2024. However, an FCC record is regulatory evidence, not a complete product launch announcement or proof that every regional version has identical hardware.

The publicly indexed record includes RF reports, SAR and radio-frequency exposure documents, operational descriptions, labeling information, user-information material and a product-equality declaration for the listed variants. The FCC explains that equipment authorization is required for covered RF devices before they can be marketed or imported in the United States; authorization alone does not guarantee retail distribution.

What the documents revealed
Cellular and 5G testing
The filing contains LTE and 5G-related measurements. One indexed RF report shows LTE Band 26 testing in the 824.7–848.3 MHz transmit-frequency range, alongside other cellular-radio material. That is evidence about the certified model record, not a complete global band chart.

Wi-Fi, 6GHz and MIMO
The FCC-derived index describes 6GHz Wi-Fi operation and a 2×2 MIMO configuration for the filed device. Those details are useful clues about the tested wireless implementation. They do not promise that every country, firmware version, router or regional S24 FE exposes the same 6GHz channels.

SAR compliance
The SAR report covers Samsung model SM-S721B/DS, was tested from June 11 through July 15, 2024, issued July 24, and records a Pass result. It references limits of 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram and 4 W/kg averaged over 10 grams, as well as a power-density limit. This means the submitted device passed the applicable SAR evaluation described in that report; it is not a blanket claim about every variant or every possible health question.

What the FCC filing did not establish
- Final retail pricing or promotional offers
- Camera quality, battery life, gaming performance or thermal behavior
- Display size, processor branding, storage tiers or colors
- Samsung’s software-support policy
- Carrier distribution, unlocked inventory or a guaranteed U.S. launch
- Identical bands or specifications for every regional SKU
Those consumer details came from Samsung’s later announcement and regional product pages, not from the FCC authorization itself.

FCC certification versus the launch timeline
- June 11–July 15, 2024: SAR testing for SM-S721B/DS.
- July 24, 2024: The SAR report was issued.
- August 21, 2024: The public FCC index lists the certification date.
- September 27, 2024: Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S24 FE.
- October 3, 2024: Samsung said orders and availability would begin.
Before September 27, the record reasonably indicated that Samsung was preparing the phone for release. It did not, by itself, confirm October 3 or any other commercial date.

Is SM-S721B the U.S. Galaxy S24 FE?
Not automatically. The clearest indexed FCC record names SM-S721B/DS and SM-S721B, a designation generally associated with an international variant. Regional pages can list different model numbers, and Samsung warns that network support varies by model, country and carrier. Therefore, an FCC ID should not be treated as a universal identifier for every U.S. carrier version.
For an imported phone, verify the exact model, supported bands, SIM or eSIM configuration, warranty geography and software-update region before buying. A listing that merely says “FCC approved” is not enough without the model number and FCC ID.

Storage and other configurations are market-specific. Samsung’s Hong Kong page shows a 256GB model, while its Spanish announcement lists 128GB, 256GB and 512GB options. Consult the page for the country where you will use the phone: Hong Kong specifications, UK specifications and Samsung U.S..
How to check the regulatory identity on the phone
- Open Settings.
- Tap About phone, then Status information to look for the FCC ID where applicable.
- Open Settings → About phone → Regulatory information for regional regulatory details.
- Compare the displayed model number with the seller’s listing and your carrier’s supported-band information.

What buyers should verify
- Exact SKU: Do not assume SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721U, SM-S721W or another regional code is interchangeable.
- Carrier compatibility: Check LTE and 5G bands with the intended network, including any carrier restrictions.
- SIM setup: Confirm whether the unit supports the physical-SIM and eSIM arrangement you need.
- Warranty: Imported devices may not receive the same warranty or service coverage as local models.
- Storage and color: Availability differs by market.
- Software region: Update timing and supported services can depend on the sales region.
The FCC filing is therefore most valuable as a verifiable pre-launch record: it confirms that Samsung’s identified handset went through formal radio and exposure testing and exposes useful wireless documentation. Samsung’s September announcement, not the filing alone, established the consumer product, specifications and release timetable.
