Samsung prices are from its 18 March 2026 launch announcement; Ai+ prices are from Moneycontrol’s report on the revision effective 23 August 2026. Retailer offers, seller, stock and exact variant can change the amount you pay. The Ai+ Store homepage displays ₹13,999 for Nova 2 5G without identifying the variant, so confirm the configuration rather than treating that figure as a directly comparable 128GB price.
Which phone has the stronger software-support promise?
Samsung has the clearer documented commitment: it promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Its product page lists security-update validity through 31 January 2032 and says the policy runs from the first global launch and is subject to change. The reviewed Nova 2 sources list Android 16 and nxtQ OS but do not establish a comparable official update commitment. That makes Samsung the better-supported choice on the evidence available, not proof that the Nova 2 will receive no updates.

Where the differences matter in everyday buying
Display size and refresh rate
The Nova 2 is 0.05 inches larger on the listed diagonal, while both are HD+ panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. That small size difference alone does not establish better viewing quality; brightness, color and outdoor legibility are not compared in the available specifications.

Chipsets and cameras
The phones use different processors, but no controlled benchmark or direct performance test establishes a speed winner. Likewise, the M17e’s additional 2MP depth camera and each phone’s 50MP main/rear-camera listing do not demonstrate which produces better photos. A camera or speed recommendation based on these numbers alone would be speculation.

Battery and charging
Both list 6000mAh batteries, but equal rated capacity does not prove equal real-world endurance. The Nova 2 listings specify 15W charging; the cited comparison source does not state an M17e charging wattage, so there is no supported charging-speed comparison here.
Storage and durability listings
The Nova 2 has a reported 4GB/64GB option below the Samsung launch range, which starts at 4GB/128GB. The comparison database lists IP54 for Samsung and IP64 for Ai+. Those codes are database entries rather than a recommendation for use in water or dusty conditions; check each manufacturer’s official limitations before relying on a rating.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy M17e 5G if a clearly stated multi-year software-support policy matters most, or if you are comparing the 4GB/128GB versions at the published prices above.
- Consider the Nova 2 5G if you want the listed 4GB/64GB storage tier or prefer its slightly larger display, and have verified the exact variant, current price and support terms with the seller or manufacturer.
- Do not decide from battery capacity, refresh rate or megapixel count alone. The shared headline figures do not resolve real-world runtime, responsiveness or camera quality.
Samsung’s launch announcement also reported more than 3,300 service touchpoints in India; this is a company-reported network figure, not an independently audited comparison of service access.
