Samsung lists a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, a four-camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery and up to six years of security and maintenance releases. Whether it is worth buying depends on your country’s exact configuration and price, and on real-world performance that specifications alone cannot establish.
What this review can—and cannot—tell you
This is a specification-led review of the Galaxy A37 5G, Samsung’s official product name. Samsung’s launch materials describe its hardware, features and support policy; they do not establish how fast it feels, how long it lasts in everyday use, how visible its screen is outdoors, or how its cameras handle difficult scenes. No independent A37 hands-on or lab results are established here, so treat the performance details below as manufacturer-published claims rather than tested outcomes.

How good is the Galaxy A37 5G display?
The Korean specification describes a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The size and refresh-rate ceiling suggest a phone designed for a spacious viewing area and smoother motion when supported by the software and content. They do not tell us the screen’s measured brightness, color accuracy, viewing behavior outdoors or whether every app runs at 120Hz; Samsung’s published specification does not provide independent results for those questions.

What can you expect from its cameras?
The Korean-market rear array pairs a 50MP main camera with OIS with an 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera; the front camera is 12MP. OIS is a hardware feature on the main camera, but megapixel counts and stabilization alone cannot establish photo quality. No independent A37 camera testing is established here, so there is no reliable basis to rate low-light shots, skin tones, motion capture, video or the usefulness of the ultrawide and macro cameras in practice.
Samsung also describes AI Eraser and Edit Suggestion features. Those are editing tools, not evidence of a particular camera outcome: the feature descriptions do not show how consistently they work or how good the final images look.

How long will Samsung update the Galaxy A37?
Samsung’s UK product page promises up to six OS upgrades and up to six years of security and maintenance releases. “Up to” is important: this is Samsung’s support commitment, not a guarantee that every device receives every update on the same day. Availability and timing can depend on model, country and carrier.
There is also a model-specific update record for SM-A376B. Samsung’s update history lists Android 16 and an update dated September 9, 2026, with security patch level 2026-08-05. This documents that record for that model; it should not be treated as confirmation of identical rollout timing for all regional variants. See Samsung’s SM-A376B update history and its UK product page.

Which Galaxy A37 configuration and price applies in your country?
Regional differences matter. Samsung Korea lists 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the cited Samsung UK product page is for a 256GB configuration. A listing in one country therefore does not establish the memory, storage or color options sold elsewhere.
| Market | Samsung-announced launch information |
|---|---|
| United States | Availability from April 9, 2026, at a starting price of $449.99. Samsung listed Awesome Charcoal and Awesome Lavender through Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung.com, Awesome Charcoal at carriers, Graygreen at Best Buy, and Awesome White at Amazon.com. |
| South Korea | Launch on June 19, 2026, with an announced price of 598,400 won. |
These are dated launch references, not verified current prices, inventory or offers. Samsung’s U.S. announcement and Korean announcement give the regional details.
Is the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G worth buying?
The strongest case visible from Samsung’s published information is the combination of a large AMOLED screen, a stated 120Hz maximum refresh rate and a substantial software-support commitment. The 50MP main camera includes OIS, and the listed battery capacity is 5,000mAh. None of those specifications settles everyday speed, endurance or image quality.
Before choosing one, compare the price of the exact local storage and carrier model, verify that its update policy applies to that variant, and look for independent tests that match the version sold in your market. Without a verified current local price and comparable A37 test results, a definitive value verdict or ranking against another phone would be premature. Samsung’s announcement explains the company’s broader positioning as an effort to bring its latest innovations to more Galaxy users; that is corporate framing, not an independent assessment of this handset.
