The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G lists a sharper screen, a 200 MP main camera and 67 W charging. The Galaxy A35 5G has the longer published update commitment and, in Samsung’s UK listing, a higher IP67 dust and water rating. Which suits you depends on what you value and on local prices, which this comparison does not cover. Everything below comes from manufacturer pages for specific markets, not independent lab tests.
Check you’re comparing the right models
The title shortens the Redmi’s name. This article compares the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, using Xiaomi’s India specification page. It does not cover the 4G Redmi Note 13 Pro or the Pro+ model. Xiaomi’s Ukraine page notes configuration and accessory differences by region, and Samsung’s pages vary by country too. The Samsung figures here come from its UK and Latin America pages, and the Xiaomi figures from its India page. Confirm your local version before buying.

Display
Both use 120 Hz-class AMOLED panels. The Redmi’s listed 2712 × 1220 resolution and slightly larger 6.67-inch diagonal give it more pixels on paper. The Samsung is a Full HD+ panel, which is still sharp at 6.6 inches. Brightness, colour accuracy and outdoor visibility are not covered by these pages, so a spec-sheet gap in resolution doesn’t tell you which screen looks better.

Cameras
The Redmi’s 200 MP sensor makes a headline number, but megapixels don’t determine photo quality. Sensor processing, lens quality, stabilization and tuning matter more. Both phones list optical image stabilization on the main camera and 4K at 30 fps video. The Samsung’s secondary cameras are a 5 MP and an 8 MP, and the Redmi’s are an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro. No camera samples were compared here, so choose on independent sample photos if cameras are your priority.
Battery and charging
Xiaomi lists a 5100 mAh typical battery with 67 W wired charging. That makes charging speed the Redmi’s clearest hardware advantage on paper. The Samsung page used here gave no comparable capacity or runtime figure, so battery life can’t be ranked from these sources. Capacity doesn’t equal endurance, and the charger in the box varies by region, so check that a fast charger is included where you buy.

- The included 25W Fast Charger is a generic accessory and is not a Samsung-branded charger, 6.7" FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz, 1080x2340px, Fingerprint (under display, optical), IP67 dust and water resistance

Durability
Samsung’s UK listing states IP67, against IP54 on Xiaomi’s India page. In practice IP67 covers dust-tight protection and temporary immersion in shallow water, while IP54 covers splashes only. Xiaomi itself says: “The dustproof and waterproof functions are not permanently effective, and their protective performance may decrease due to daily wear and tear.” Neither rating covers all liquids or damage, so treat them as resistance, not waterproofing. Check that your regional Samsung model carries the same rating as the UK listing.

Software updates
Samsung’s Latin America page promises “hasta 4 generaciones de actualizaciones del sistema operativo y hasta 5 años de actualizaciones de seguridad”, meaning up to four OS generations and up to five years of security updates. Xiaomi India states “3 Major Android Updates | 4 Years Security Patch Updates.” Samsung’s commitment is longer on paper, which matters if you keep phones for several years. Both are regional statements, so confirm the policy for your country.

Performance
The Redmi uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. The Samsung page used here lists only clock speeds, and clock speed alone is a poor basis for comparing chips. Without matched benchmarks, treat day-to-day performance as unproven in either direction.
