To turn on a Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, press and hold the Side key until the phone starts. If nothing happens, connect it to a compatible charger, let it charge for a while, and try again.
Turn on the Galaxy A32 5G
- Locate the Side key on the phone’s edge. Samsung uses “Side key” in its Galaxy A32 5G user manual; it may also be called the power button.
- Press and hold the Side key until the screen comes on and the phone begins starting up.
If the phone does not respond
Check whether the battery may be depleted
Connect the phone to a compatible charger and give it time to charge, then press and hold the Side key again. The manual describes a rechargeable battery and notes that a wall charger is sold separately. Charging is a sensible first check, but it will not fix a damaged key or another hardware fault.

If the phone’s body is cracked or broken, Samsung advises not to use it until it has been repaired. If the Side key does not work or the phone still will not start after charging, contact Samsung support or service. A model-specific workaround for starting the A32 5G with a broken Side key is not established in Samsung’s cited instructions.
