What cameras does the Galaxy A27 5G have?
Samsung India lists a 50 MP wide main camera with OIS, a 5 MP ultra-wide, a 2 MP macro camera and a 12 MP front camera. Samsung specifies that 50 MP resolution is available only on the rear wide camera; the megapixel count does not guarantee 50 MP of usable detail in every scene, and Samsung says results depend on shooting conditions. The ultra-wide has a 115° field of view according to Samsung Newsroom India. That describes how much of a scene fits in the frame, not the amount of detail or image quality. The phone’s listed digital zoom goes up to 10x; that is not optical zoom, and the reviewed configuration has no dedicated telephoto camera. Where the main camera works well—and where it breaks
Daylight and still subjects: the safest use case
For ordinary outdoor photos, start with the main camera at 1x. GSMArena and SamMobile describe it as the strongest camera on the phone and generally capable in good outdoor light. That makes it the most reliable choice for landscapes, buildings and people who are holding still. These are review observations, not a guarantee for every scene or a controlled comparison across all phones near this price.

Indoor light and dusk: OIS cannot solve every problem
OIS reduces blur caused by the phone moving in your hands. It cannot freeze a person, pet or other moving subject, and it does not ensure clean detail when light is scarce. SamMobile reports soft detail and shutter lag in weaker light; GSMArena describes soft detail and noisy or murky shadows in low-light shots. The main camera may still produce usable pictures in such conditions, but do not assume the 50 MP label or OIS will preserve fine detail.
Moving people and pets: expect occasional blur
Review coverage, including 91mobiles, warns that moving subjects can blur. For a sharper chance, use the main camera at 1x, take several frames and avoid digital zoom; no setting can guarantee a crisp result when the subject moves in dim light.

2x and higher zoom: convenient framing, not extra optical reach
The A27’s zoom is digital. GSMArena found daylight 2x detail blotchy and low-light 2x results soft. Use a zoom crop for casual framing when the original scene is well lit, but do not rely on it for fine detail. The listed 10x maximum is not a promise of optical-quality results.

5 MP ultra-wide: fit more in, accept less detail
The ultra-wide is useful when you cannot step back or want to fit a broad scene into the frame. Its 5 MP resolution is a substantial compromise: reviewers describe limited detail, with weaker results indoors and in low light. Treat it as a framing option rather than a second camera that matches the main camera’s quality.

2 MP macro: an occasional extra
The macro camera has fixed focus. Reviewers report limited useful detail and a close working distance, so it is a modest extra for occasional close-ups, not a compelling reason to buy the phone. Samsung’s launch announcement describes the macro as capable of “6×4-inch print-worthy 300dpi photos”; that is the company’s product claim, published 30 June 2026, not an independent image-quality finding. Is Galaxy A27 5G video stabilized at 4K?
No, according to GSMArena’s review account: rear main-camera video reaches 4K at 30 frames per second, while stabilization is available only up to 1080p30. Choose between higher resolution at 4K30 without that stabilization and stabilized footage at 1080p30. GSMArena reports that the main camera also records 1080p up to 60 fps, but the stated stabilization ceiling is 30 fps. The ultra-wide and front camera are capped at 1080p30 in that review. How good is the selfie camera?
The front camera is 12 MP. GSMArena describes selfies favorably for the segment, and 91mobiles calls them decent; GSMArena reports front-camera video up to 1080p30. Who should choose the A27 5G for its camera?
- A reasonable fit: you mainly take daylight photos of still subjects and are comfortable using the main camera at 1x.
- Think twice: you often photograph people or pets indoors, depend on clean low-light detail, or need dependable sharpness from zoom crops.
- Know the trade-off: you want a wide-angle view or occasional macro shots, but do not expect those cameras to match the main camera.
- For video: decide whether 4K30 resolution or stabilization at 1080p30 matters more for the clips you make.
The available reviews offer useful scene-by-scene observations, not a population-level test or controlled comparison against every phone near ₹30,000. They support a practical verdict on this camera system, not a claim that it is the best camera in its price class.
