To change fonts on a Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet, open Settings > Display > Font size and style. From there, adjust text size, turn bold text on or off, choose an installed font, or open Galaxy Store to download available fonts. The controls and font catalog can vary by model, software version, and carrier.
How do I change the font on my Samsung phone?
- Open Settings.
- Tap Display > Font size and style. If you do not see that route, search Settings for Font size and style.
- Tap Font style, then choose one of the installed options.
The setting changes the typeface used by supported parts of the interface. Menu names and available choices may differ by device, software version, or wireless service provider, according to Samsung Support.

How do I download fonts on Samsung?
- Go to Settings > Display > Font size and style > Font style.
- Tap Download fonts. Galaxy Store opens.
- Browse the fonts listed there and install one. Return to Font style and select the font if it has not been applied automatically.
The available catalog can vary, and Samsung does not say every listed font is free or available on every device. Samsung’s supported instructions describe the Galaxy Store route; they do not establish one universal method for installing arbitrary font files on all Galaxy models and software versions.

Open Settings > Display > Font size and style, then use the Font size slider to enlarge or reduce text. Switch Bold font on if heavier lettering is easier to read. These controls change text, not the size of every item on screen.

Some apps do not follow the system font-size setting. Samsung notes that its Huge font size works only in some apps; unsupported apps use Large instead. Google likewise cautions that some apps may not apply the Android font-size setting (Android Accessibility Help).
Font size, bold text, contrast, and screen zoom: which should I use?

Choose Screen zoom when icons and other interface elements also need to appear larger. Samsung documents it separately from font size in its display settings guidance. For text that needs stronger contrast rather than a different size or typeface, try High contrast fonts.

Why do the font settings look different on my Galaxy?
Samsung says available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version, and device model. If the displayed path does not match yours, search Settings for Font size and style. Samsung’s regional support guidance also notes that menu availability can vary (Samsung Support Gulf).
