Samsung Galaxy phones can exchange files with Apple devices through Quick Share’s AirDrop interoperability—there is no separate Apple AirDrop app to install on a Galaxy. Google’s current Android compatibility list includes several Galaxy families, but Samsung’s support pages still describe earlier rollout stages. Check the model list, software and local availability before relying on the feature.
Which Galaxy phones work with Apple?
Google’s current Android compatibility page lists these Samsung models for sharing with Apple devices through Quick Share:

This is Google’s current list, not a promise that every listed phone has received the necessary software update in every country. Samsung’s own pages have not caught up: its March 22, 2026 announcement named the S26 series as the initial release, Google’s May 12 announcement listed several other models as “Coming Soon,” and Samsung Germany’s September 4 FAQ still described support as limited to the S26 with One UI 8.5. Samsung India specifies Quick Share app version 13.8.51.27 or later and Google Play services version 26.11.xx or later for Apple-device sharing. Samsung Germany also names Galaxy S26 with One UI 8.5 or later. Treat these as published requirements for those support materials, not confirmed universal requirements for every model on Google’s broader list; check your phone’s updates and local guidance. Samsung began the rollout in Korea and said it would expand to Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Samsung cautions that availability and timing vary by market, so an eligible model may not yet have the feature where you live. [c001] [c004]
How do I share files from Android to iPhone?
- Enable Apple sharing on Galaxy: Open Settings > Connected devices > Quick Share and turn on Share with Apple devices.
- Make the Apple device discoverable: Set AirDrop visibility to Everyone for 10 minutes.
- Send the file: Choose the file on Galaxy, tap Share, then choose Quick Share and the Apple device when it appears. Accept the incoming transfer on the Apple device.
The devices need to be nearby. Samsung’s support instructions also call for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to be enabled. [c003] [c004]

How do I receive a file from an Apple device on Galaxy?
- On Galaxy, open Settings > Connected devices > Quick Share, enable Share with Apple devices, and set Who can share with you to Everyone (10 minutes only).
- On the Apple device, open AirDrop sharing and select the Galaxy phone when it appears.
- Accept the incoming transfer on Galaxy.
Visibility is temporary: the Galaxy receiving setting is limited to 10 minutes, and Apple’s AirDrop setting should also be set to Everyone for 10 minutes. [c004]

- Check compatibility and updates. Confirm your exact Galaxy model appears on Google’s current list, then check One UI, Quick Share and Google Play services versions. A model’s presence on the list does not prove the update is available on your device or in your market. [c003] [c004] [c005]
- Check visibility on both phones. Enable Share with Apple devices on Galaxy. For receiving, set Galaxy’s Who can share with you to Everyone (10 minutes only); on Apple, use Everyone for 10 minutes.
- Check proximity and radios. Keep the phones nearby and make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on. [c004]
- Stop conflicting wireless features. Samsung says discovery can fail while Mobile Hotspot or services using Wi-Fi Direct or Wi-Fi Aware are active. Examples include Smart View, DeX, Multi Control, Music Share, Camera Share and Storage Share. Turn off the active feature and try again. [c004]
- Retry after reconnecting or restarting. Samsung suggests connecting to a network, restarting the devices and trying again. [c004]
Do not assume an unlisted Galaxy model is compatible or install an unofficial APK to try to force support. Samsung says feature availability and timing can change and vary by market. [c001] [c004]
