To see whether it works for your phone and app, open Settings → Advanced features → Dual Messenger; the apps listed there are the ones your device can duplicate.
What Samsung Dual Messenger does
Dual Messenger creates a second, separately signed-in copy of a compatible messaging app. It does not turn one account into two: each copy needs its own account. Samsung notes that using two messaging accounts requires two phone numbers in the context described on its Dual Messenger support page; requirements vary by service, so check the account and verification rules for the app you use.

The feature works only with selected apps, and availability depends on the Galaxy model, Android version, and region. Samsung’s examples of commonly supported apps include WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Skype, Snapchat, Viber, LINE, Telegram, KakaoTalk, Zalo, and Kik, among others. This is not a guarantee that every app is supported on every phone: if the app does not appear in your phone’s Dual Messenger list, Samsung says you cannot use the feature with it on that device. How to set up a second messaging app

Open Settings.

Tap Advanced features, then Dual Messenger. Menu wording or availability can differ by model and software.

Switch on the supported app you want to duplicate. Confirm installation if prompted.

Find the newly installed app icon, marked with a Dual Messenger badge, and open it.

Sign in with the separate account’s credentials and complete any verification the service requires.

This is Samsung’s general setup flow; its Israel support instructions and Taiwan setup guidance document the same basic path. If Dual Messenger is missing from Settings or your app is absent from its list, the feature or app may not be available for your particular device and software.

Keep work and personal contacts separate
When you enable the second app, check whether the setup screen offers a separate contacts list. Samsung provides an option for the duplicated app to use its own contact list; if you leave that option off, the copied app uses the device’s contacts. Choose based on whether you want the second account to see your full address book or a narrower set. Samsung describes this setting in its Dual Messenger overview and setup guidance.
Limitations and what happens if you remove an app
The second copy may not offer every function available in the original. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 EU user manual states: “Some features of the app may be limited for the second app.” That manual also says uninstalling the second app deletes data associated with that copy, while removing the original app removes the second copy as well. Before uninstalling either one, check whether chats or other data are backed up or synchronized through the messaging service.

Have a separate account ready; confirm the service’s phone-number and verification requirements.

Review the separate-contacts setting if the second account should not use the device’s full contact list.
