Find the full model code before you begin
“CU7000” alone may not identify the instructions or downloads for your television. Find its complete model code on the TV’s label or in its settings, then enter that code on Samsung Support to locate the matching manual, quick guide, remote information, e-Manual, and software. The linked Canadian page is specifically for model UN50CU7000FXZC; it is not a universal CU7000 download page.

For example, Samsung’s Levant listing for the 2023 55-inch UA55CU7000UXTW specifies 3,840 × 2,160 resolution, three HDMI ports, one USB port, Ethernet, optical audio output, and eARC/ARC. Those are specifications for that regional variant, not a guaranteed port or feature list for every CU7000. Check your full model code and the labels on your set before planning connections.
Position the TV and follow its first-use prompts
Place the TV securely using the instructions for your exact model and installation type, connect its power, and follow the on-screen setup prompts. Samsung provides model-specific quick guides; use yours for stand assembly or compatible wall installation rather than relying on a general CU7000 instruction. The setup flow and menu labels can vary by software version or region.

Check the remote and pair it if needed
If the remote does not work as expected, follow the instructions supplied with your regional TV or Samsung’s support topic, “Pair your Samsung Smart Remote to your Samsung TV.” Do not assume every remote supplied with a CU7000 uses the same pairing procedure.
Connect the TV to Wi-Fi or Ethernet
The CU7000 manual describes both wireless and wired network setup. Its wired route is Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Network Settings > Wired; the manual says a LAN cable connection can access the network automatically. For Wi-Fi, open Network Settings > Wireless and follow the on-screen instructions. Menu wording may differ with software version, so use the labels currently shown on your TV if they have changed.
- Choose Ethernet when you can connect the TV to your router with a LAN cable.
- Choose Wi-Fi when you want to connect without running a network cable.
If the network menu or connection behavior differs from these steps, consult the manual linked from Samsung Support using your complete model code.

Connect broadcast, video, and audio equipment
Use the TV’s Connection Guide to choose a device category and connection method. Samsung describes guidance for audio and video equipment, smartphones, PCs, input devices, game consoles, and USB storage. Available methods depend on the model and geographic area.
Antenna, cable, or satellite
An antenna connects to the TV’s coaxial input. The manual says a separate antenna connection is unnecessary when you watch through a cable or satellite box; connect that box using the method supported by your TV and equipment.
HDMI devices and game consoles
Connect HDMI video devices and game consoles to an available HDMI input, then select the corresponding source on the TV. Check the ports on your particular set: the number and capabilities are not established for every regional or size variant.

Soundbars and other audio devices
Depending on what the TV and audio device support, the manual lists HDMI eARC/ARC, optical audio, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi among the connection methods. Match the connection to the equipment and the ports on your exact television.

USB storage
Use the Connection Guide for the TV’s USB-storage instructions, and confirm that your model has the port you intend to use. Samsung’s cited Levant listing, for example, specifies one USB port for the UA55CU7000UXTW.

Check software and troubleshoot connection problems
Samsung’s support page for the Canadian UN50CU7000FXZC lists firmware downloads alongside its manuals and guides. It lists OS upgrade file version 0090 dated July 21, 2026, and a version 0090 release note dated April 30, 2026. These are page-specific listings, not a promise that the same update applies to another CU7000. Search Samsung Support with your complete model code and use only the download intended for that model.
For an HDMI issue, the CU7000 manual describes an HDMI Troubleshooting function that checks the connection to an HDMI cable and external devices; it takes approximately two minutes. Open the function from the TV’s support or troubleshooting options if available, following the labels shown on your set.
