Ruko’s current product and support materials also cover a U11MINI 4K. That is a separate model, and its camera, transmission, storage, battery, flight-time claims, and accessories should not be assumed to match the original U11MINI. The specifications below come from Ruko’s original U11MINI support page and its U11MINI User Manual (copyright 2024).

Which app do you need, and how does storage work?
Use the Ruko U11 app for the original U11MINI. Ruko says the drone has no built-in body storage, so install a microSD card if you want to save captured media on the aircraft. The stated card limit is 64GB. The 720p/25fps figure is the maximum live image transmission to the phone; it describes the live feed, not the quality of every recorded file.
The manual describes the app connection as using a data line. Follow the model’s manual and in-app connection instructions rather than selecting an app or accessory based only on a listing that says “U11MINI 4K.”

How long does a battery last, and how long does charging take?
Ruko’s support FAQ claims 35 minutes on one battery when flying at constant speed in a windless environment. That is a manufacturer-stated ideal condition, not a guaranteed duration for ordinary flights. Wind, flight behavior, and operating conditions can change actual time aloft; plan to land with reserve rather than treating the advertised maximum as usable flight time.
The manual rates the lithium-polymer battery at 2,200mAh, 7.6V, and 16.72Wh, with a listed weight of 95g. Ruko says it does not support fast charging. Its FAQ gives a fastest charging estimate of about three hours when using a 5V, 2A–3A charger; the 2024 manual likewise describes charging as approximately three hours depending on charging power. Charging uses USB-C.

What is the transmission range—and what it does not mean
Ruko lists a maximum image-transmission radius of 9,842 feet in open space without interference, while also noting that phone choice and the environment affect distance. This is a manufacturer maximum for image transmission, not an expected safe operating range or a promise that the drone can be flown that far in a particular location. Keep the aircraft within visual line of sight and follow applicable airspace and operating rules.

Ruko advises selecting an open area with no obstacle within a 15-meter radius and checking the aircraft, remote battery, and propellers before flight. The support FAQ identifies four smart-shooting functions: Follow me, waypoint circling, circling flight, and gesture photo. Treat mode availability as a feature list, not a substitute for learning the controls and supervising the aircraft.

Inspect propellers and screws every time
Before each flight, inspect propellers for cracks, wear, deformation, corrosion, and loose screws. Replace damaged blades and screws according to the U11MINI instructions. The manual lists spare propellers and an intelligent flight battery among the accessories, and says to use original accessories: “The use of non-original accessories may pose a risk to the safe use of the aircraft.”
If buying replacements, search for “Ruko U11MINI spare propellers” or a model-specific intelligent flight battery, then confirm the listing explicitly fits the original U11MINI. Similar-looking U11MINI 4K parts may not be interchangeable. The manual points buyers to Amazon or the Ruko store, but a current, verified original-model listing, price, or stock status is not established here.

Is the Ruko U11MINI waterproof?
No. Ruko’s support FAQ says, “Not waterproof”. Keep it away from rain, water, and wet surfaces; the cited materials do not establish a water-resistance rating.
Does it need FAA registration?
Ruko’s FAQ says the original U11MINI weighs less than 250g and that FAA registration is not needed. That is the manufacturer’s answer, not comprehensive or current legal advice. Registration, operating rules, and airspace restrictions can depend on location and purpose, so check the applicable regulator’s current requirements before flying.

Who should consider this drone?
The original U11MINI is a better fit for someone who is comfortable with a phone-connected drone, installing a memory card, and treating the advertised flight time and transmission radius as best-case manufacturer figures. It is a poor fit if waterproofing, onboard storage, or a guaranteed long-range live feed is essential. For a purchase or accessory decision, verify that the listing names the original U11MINI rather than the U11MINI 4K; Ruko’s distinct U11MINI 4K product page concerns the newer, separate version.
