Rox Resources’ 8 July 2025 update said dewatering at Youanmi was advancing ahead of schedule, reported new gold intersections across three areas, and described feasibility and early works as progressing. The financing interest it disclosed was non-binding and conditional—not secured funding. The schedules and operating details below reflect what Rox reported on that date, not confirmed current project status.
What did Rox Resources report about Youanmi?
In its 8 July 2025 ASX announcement, titled “Development Update for Youanmi: Dewatering, drilling, and DFS works advancing,” Rox Resources described progress at its Youanmi gold project near Mt Magnet in Western Australia. The release covered dewatering, exploration drilling, financing discussions, the definitive feasibility study (DFS), and early works.

Rox said dewatering at Youanmi Main and United North was progressing ahead of schedule. Its reported pumping rates and expected milestones differed by area:

These dates were forecasts made in July 2025. A later Rox announcement dated 3 September 2025 said United North pit dewatering was complete; it does not establish the project’s status today. The same later update said a major environmental clearing permit had been obtained and underground mining approval remained under review at that time. See Rox’s 3 September 2025 announcement.
What drilling results did the company announce?
Rox reported high-grade gold intersections at Youanmi Main, Prospect and Pollard. The intervals below are exploration results reported by the company, not production figures or evidence by themselves of commercial viability.

Rox said RXDD216 extended mineralisation beneath the resource at the time, while RXDD208 showed continuity north of that resource. Those interpretations are the company’s, and refer to the resource as it stood when the July update was issued.
Was Youanmi’s financing secured?
No. Rox said it had received credit-endorsed, non-binding expressions of interest from Australian and international banks and mining financiers. The company said the interest exceeded projected capital costs, but also said responses were subject to satisfactory due diligence and approvals. Expressions of interest are not committed financing, and the announcement did not establish that funding had closed.
What were the DFS and early-works milestones?
Rox reported that all major DFS workstreams had been awarded, metallurgical test work was advancing, early works were underway, and a contract had been issued for camp expansion. It forecast delivery of the DFS in Q4 2025, followed shortly thereafter by a Final Investment Decision. Those were plans stated in July 2025, not confirmation that either milestone was achieved.
Managing Director and CEO Phill Wilding described the activity as a “flurry of activity” spanning dewatering, DFS contracts and metallurgical test work. The release’s broader message was that several development activities were proceeding in parallel, while important financing and project approvals remained conditional or unresolved.

How should readers interpret the update now?
The July announcement is useful for understanding what Rox reported at that point: two dewatering programs, drilling across three areas, conditional financing interest, and a forecast DFS schedule. For present-day operational or investment decisions, check a current company or ASX announcement; the later September update confirms that at least one milestone had changed, but does not establish the full current position.
