1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsRoborock is the stronger choice in the available direct comparisons if you want a robot vacuum that also mops and automates dock chores. Dyson may suit buyers prioritizing dry vacuuming and its advertised dust-handling and anti-tangle features. That is a model-dependent verdict, not proof that one brand wins across its entire 2026 lineup.
What the head-to-head tests actually show
RTINGS compared the Dyson 360 Vis Nav with two Roborock models. In both comparisons, it rated the Roborock better overall, while noting that Dyson measured higher in suction and airflow. The S8 Pro Ultra and Qrevo Pro also add mopping and more capable docks; in RTINGS’ assessment, Dyson’s higher suction and airflow did not translate into a better overall result.

- Dyson 360 Vis Nav vs. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra: RTINGS favors the Roborock overall, citing stronger navigation and a multifunction dock alongside mopping.
- Dyson 360 Vis Nav vs. Roborock Qrevo Pro: RTINGS again favors the Roborock overall, which includes mopping and an auto-empty dock.
These are comparisons of specific models, not a controlled test of every current product from both brands.
Why the 2026 brand comparison is not apples to apples
The Dyson tested by RTINGS is the 360 Vis Nav. Dyson’s current US robot-vacuum page instead centers on the R1 Nurovi Dry, a dry vacuum for carpets and hard floors. No cited source directly tests that newer Dyson against the latest Roborock models under the same conditions. So the older head-to-head results are useful evidence about those models, but cannot establish which brand’s newest robot is better.

Dyson describes the R1 Nurovi Dry as having high-speed LiDAR mapping, line lasers and edge sensors for obstacle recognition, an extending side sweeper, anti-tangle features, dust sensing with automatic suction adjustment, and a bagless cyclonic dock. Dyson says the dock can store up to 90 days of dust, depending on cleaning habits. These are manufacturer descriptions and claims, not independent comparative test results. Dyson positions it as a choice for automated cleaning across carpets and hard floors; that positioning is not itself proof of superior pickup.
Roborock’s US catalogue includes Saros, Qrevo, QV/QR, Q10 and Q7 families, spanning basic vacuum models and vacuum-and-mop robots with multifunction docks. Features vary by model, so the brand name alone does not tell you which chores a robot or dock handles. The lineup page is useful for checking the current product range, but availability and specifications can change.

What the newer Roborock reviews add
Roborock Saros 20
TechRadar’s 2026 review describes the Saros 20 as a premium vacuum-and-mop model with a low profile, lifting chassis, extending edge tools and automated dock functions. The reviewer reports strong carpet pet-hair pickup and capable mopping, while noting limitations in mop coverage or streaking in other 2026 testing and imperfect obstacle avoidance. Its stated maximum suction is 35,000 Pa, a manufacturer specification—not a cross-brand cleaning score or proof that it out-cleans a Dyson.
TechRadar reported list prices of $1,599.99 in the US, £1,309 in the UK and AU$2,999 in Australia, and a €1,499 European launch price for February 2026. These are dated, region-specific price reports; current local pricing and discounts may differ. See the Saros 20 review for the review context.

Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro
TechRadar’s 2026 review describes the Qrevo 2 Pro as a vacuum-and-mop robot with detachable mop plates for mixed-floor homes. The reviewer praises its mopping but notes that it is tall for low furniture, may miss obstacles and can struggle with some pickup. This model uses disposable dust bags, a recurring consumable to account for when considering upkeep. The Qrevo 2 Pro review reports its August 2026 launch and market availability; those details do not establish availability in every region.
How to choose between the brands for your home
| What matters most | What the available evidence supports | What to check for the exact model |
|---|---|---|
| Dry vacuuming | In the two RTINGS comparisons, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav has higher measured suction and airflow, but the Roborock models score better overall. This does not establish the result for Dyson’s newer R1 Nurovi Dry. | Pickup on your carpet and rugs, hard-floor performance, brush maintenance and how well it handles thresholds and low furniture. |
| Pet hair | TechRadar reports strong carpet pet-hair pickup for the Roborock Saros 20. Dyson advertises anti-tangle features on the R1 Nurovi Dry; that claim is not a direct comparative test. | Hair pickup on your floor types, hair wrap around brushes, and how often you will need to clean or replace parts. |
| Mopping | The compared Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Qrevo Pro include mopping; the Dyson 360 Vis Nav does not. The current R1 Nurovi Dry is described as a dry vacuum, not a mop. | Whether the model lifts or removes its mop for carpet, how it handles floor transitions, and whether reviews report streaks or missed areas. |
| Navigation and obstacles | RTINGS favors the S8 Pro Ultra’s navigation over the 360 Vis Nav in their comparison. Dyson advertises obstacle-recognition sensors on the R1 Nurovi Dry; newer Roborock reviews also report imperfect obstacle avoidance. | Furniture clearance, cords and clutter in your rooms, plus mapping and obstacle performance in independent testing. |
| Dock automation | The two compared Roborock models have more capable docks than the Dyson 360 Vis Nav. Dyson describes the R1 Nurovi Dry’s dock as bagless and cyclonic. | Whether the dock only charges or also empties dust, handles water, and washes or dries mop pads—and what maintenance those functions require. |
| Ongoing cost | The Qrevo 2 Pro review identifies disposable dust bags as a model-specific consumable. Prices for other parts and current local purchase prices are not established across this comparison. | Current price in your region, compatible consumables and replacement parts, and whether a promotional deal is temporary. |
Do not use a Pa figure as a substitute for cleaning results: suction specifications are not standardized cross-brand pickup scores. A robot also has to navigate well, reach the dirt and work with your floors. For a current Dyson-versus-Roborock choice, compare the exact models available where you live, rather than assuming a result from the 360 Vis Nav applies to the R1 Nurovi Dry or the latest Roborocks.

Who should choose which?
Choose a Roborock model if
- You want vacuuming and mopping in one robot, and the specific model’s mop system suits your floor mix.
- You value dock functions such as auto-emptying or mop care; verify which functions are included in the model you are considering.
- You want to rely on the available direct comparisons: the S8 Pro Ultra and Qrevo Pro both beat the Dyson 360 Vis Nav overall in RTINGS’ assessments.
Consider Dyson if
- You want a dry-only robot for carpets and hard floors rather than an integrated mop.
- You are interested in Dyson’s advertised dust sensing, anti-tangle features and bagless cyclonic dock, while recognizing those are product claims rather than proof of superiority in a direct test.
- You are evaluating the R1 Nurovi Dry specifically and can find independent testing or model-specific evidence that addresses your flooring and needs.
For a useful final comparison, shortlist exact models and check floor coverage, pet-hair results, mop behavior, obstacle handling, dock chores and consumables. The 2026 evidence gives Roborock the edge in the available head-to-heads, but it does not supply a like-for-like result between the newest Dyson and newest Roborock.
