The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 is built for low furniture. Roborock rates its body at 3.14 in (79.8 mm) high, and the strongest independent results in the tests we reviewed come from carpet, hair and pet-hair pickup. The trade-offs are real: in the same testing, obstacle avoidance was below average, the robot climbs only 20 mm thresholds, its onboard dustbin is smaller, and battery endurance is slightly lower. If your sofa, bed frame or cabinet clears 3.14 in with room to spare, the low profile is a genuine advantage. If it does not, nothing else in this review matters for your home.
Will the Qrevo Edge 2 fit under your furniture?
Roborock’s product page makes the claim directly: “With an industry-leading thin body of 3.14 in, it conquers extreme low spaces.” That is Roborock’s marketing wording, not an independently established ranking of thin robots. The company attributes the low height to two design choices. A retractable LDS (laser distance sensor) lowers for low-clearance access, and a 100° vision module helps the robot keep its position under furniture where the laser cannot see.

A published height is only useful if you compare it with the space you actually have. Measure before you buy:

- Measure the gap at the lowest point under each piece of furniture you want the robot to reach, not at the front edge. Sofa skirts, bed-frame rails and cabinet plinths often narrow the gap further back.
- Compare the gap with 3.14 in (79.8 mm). Keep a margin for rugs, cables and any thresholds the robot will cross on the way in.
- To check quickly, cut a strip of cardboard exactly 3.14 in tall and slide it under the furniture. If it passes freely, the robot should too, but it will still need to navigate once it is inside.
- Check the dock separately. The dock is much larger than the robot (see the table below), so plan where it will sit and how the robot will reach it.
Cadena SER’s David Justo tested the robot in a real home and reported that the retractable sensor let it clean beneath a shelf where an older unit had repeatedly collided. His review, published in Spanish on July 3, 2026 after several weeks of use, also notes that the robot has room to improve in corners and tight places where it cannot use LiDAR.

Carpet, sand, hair and pet hair
Vacuum Wars bought a unit and ran its evaluations over several weeks. Its review, last updated August 28, 2026, describes the robot as strong at carpet deep cleaning, hair resistance, pet-hair pickup and navigation efficiency. The figures below are Vacuum Wars’ own test results from 2026. They describe that outlet’s test conditions, and they should not be read as predictions for every carpet or household.

| Vacuum Wars test (2026) | Qrevo Edge 2 | Original Qrevo Edge | Outlet average |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sand removal from medium-pile carpet (sand embedded in the carpet) | 94% | 85% | 78% |
| Hair wrapped around the brush, 7-inch hair-tangle evaluation | 0% | not stated | 26% |
| Embedded pet-hair pickup | 89.5% | 80.5% | 82.2% |
The hair result is the most striking: in that evaluation, no hair wrapped around the brush. The sand and pet-hair figures are strong, but they come from one outlet’s medium-pile carpet and embedded-hair methods. If your floors are mostly hard surfaces, or your carpets are thick or long-pile, these numbers do not answer your question.

Mopping and the dock
Vacuum Wars reported a dried-on stain score of 139 and a water penalty of 0.65 g in its mopping evaluation. The table compares those figures with the original Qrevo Edge and the outlet’s average. The stain score is reported on the outlet’s own scale, and the summary does not say whether a higher or lower number is better, so read it against the comparison values rather than as a pass or fail mark.

The dock features come from Roborock’s official support FAQ. These are manufacturer descriptions, and no independent test of them was reported in the material reviewed:
- Mop pads are washed with water at up to 80°C and dried with hot air at up to 55°C.
- Hot-water mopping is available at up to 60°C.
- The dock empties the dustbin automatically and refills the water tank.
- Mop cloths detach automatically.
Obstacle avoidance and thresholds
Vacuum Wars rated the robot’s obstacle avoidance as below average and set its threshold-climbing limit at 20 mm. A 20 mm lip is a practical ceiling: a sill, a door saddle or a raised rug edge taller than that will stop the robot. Check your thresholds before assuming the robot can reach every room.

It boosts suction for dust and debris, while switching to mop-only mode for liquid spills such as ketchup, coffee, cola, and mud, lifting the side and main brushes to prevent spreading dirt and deliver consistent results on every surface.
- 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲: With one tap, select the ideal carpet mode. The robot automatically increases suction and lifts the mop up to 15 mm to protect carpets while cleaning. The innovative Roller Shield deploys at the same time, forming a barrier that helps separate dry and wet zones for a more efficient routine.
- 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Qrevo Curv 2 Flow identifies over 200 object types day or night. Structured light sensors help this robot vacuum and mop combo navigate around cables, toys, and furniture legs, while PreciSense LiDAR mapping creates real-time 3D layouts and supports up to 4 floor plans for seamless multi-level cleaning.
Cadena SER found that the robot is weaker in corners and tight spaces where LiDAR is unavailable. Roborock’s 100° vision module is designed to keep positioning working under furniture, but this is a manufacturer design claim. In the material reviewed, it was not separately measured.

Dustbin, battery and long-term ownership
Vacuum Wars reported a smaller onboard dustbin and slightly lower battery endurance. The material reviewed does not supply a runtime figure, so do not assume a particular cleaning time per charge. If you have a large home or plan to run the robot daily, check battery and dustbin expectations against your own routine.
The reviews cited here are short-term tests. They do not establish long-term reliability, repair rates, representative maintenance costs over the life of the robot, or how the robot performs across a broad range of homes.
Price, warranty and replacement parts
When Roborock’s US store page was checked, it showed the robot at $799.99 next to a struck-through $1,299.99. Vacuum Wars showed a sale price that changed during its own check, and described the usual retail price as around $1,300. Prices, stock and sale end dates change, so confirm the price and return terms before buying. The US store page displayed a one-year limited warranty, a 30-day return window and an Amazon purchase option.
Roborock’s store also lists replacement mop cloths: “Roborock Rotating Mop Cloths for Saros 20, Qrevo Edge 2 (4-Pack).” Confirm compatibility and current availability before you buy, since consumable listings can change.
Who this robot suits
- Homes where the furniture clearance has been measured and clears 3.14 in
- Carpeted rooms with pet hair, where the carpet and hair results matter most
- Owners who can accept a smaller dustbin and who are prepared to check thresholds and tight spaces first
- Buyers who want the dock to handle mop washing and drying without manual steps
Buyers with high thresholds, many tight corners or very large homes should look at the robot’s navigation and battery limits before committing.
