Use Directed Mode if you want on-screen quest guidance
Activision says Season 06 adds Rex Infernus Directed Mode, which displays Main Quest steps on screen and caps the round at 15. That makes it a guided way to work through the quest rather than relying on memory for each objective. Activision’s Season 06 announcement describes the mode and its rewards.

Completing Rex Infernus in Directed Mode awards the “Netherclaw” Warden’s Blight Wonder Weapon Skin, the “Rex Infernus Directed Mode Completion” Calling Card, and 5,000 XP, according to Activision. These are specifically the announced Directed Mode completion rewards.

The community walkthrough identifies Shatter Blast and Shadow Rift among quest requirements and outlines a nine-step Main Quest route. The reviewed sources do not establish the Warden’s exact attack phases, weak points, health behavior, arena layout, or damage windows. A Rex Infernus Wiki overview dated August 21, 2026, likewise says those details are not established in its verified briefing; that is a limitation of that guide, not an official confirmation that the fight lacks specific mechanics. Avoid treating unsourced phase or weak-point claims as confirmed, and check what happens in your own game version.

Activision describes Rex Infernus as a round-based Zombies map in the final chapter of Black Ops 7’s Zombies story, with the Warden as the concluding confrontation.
