There is no single best retro wireless keyboard for everyone: these five options range from playful compact mechanical keys to a full typewriter-inspired design, with one practical round-key alternative. The picks are differentiated by design, connection choices, layout and vendor-stated battery details—not ranked by independent testing.
How to choose a retro wireless keyboard
Start with the design you want, then check how the keyboard connects to your devices and how it handles power. “Retro” can mean round keys on a modern multi-device board or a more deliberate typewriter replica with a metal chassis and decorative details.

- Connection: Bluetooth is convenient for tablets and laptops; a USB receiver or wired mode can offer another way to connect. Confirm that the exact model includes the receiver or cable you need.
- Layout and size: Verify the regional layout and whether the keyboard is compact or full-size. A visually familiar keyboard can still have a different key arrangement.
- Device switching and tablet support: If you plan to use a phone or tablet, look for explicit device-switching features or an integrated stand rather than assuming the keyboard provides them.
- Power and lighting: Battery estimates from different manufacturers are not directly comparable. Backlighting can also affect usage time, so weigh it against your preference for illuminated keys.
Five retro wireless keyboards to consider
Logitech POP Keys: compact mechanical keys with playful customization
POP Keys is a compact mechanical option with typewriter-style keys and customizable emoji keys. Logitech Support lists Bluetooth Low Energy and Logi Bolt wireless connections, two AAA batteries, and vendor-stated battery life of up to 36 months. The support specification says it has no backlighting. Logitech’s specifications are the reference for these details.
Choose it if you want a distinctive, compact board and value the option of a USB receiver as well as Bluetooth. Check that the exact package includes the receiver you intend to use, and verify current operating-system compatibility rather than relying on release-era support information.

AZIO Retro Classic Bluetooth: a full-size, typewriter-inspired centerpiece

AZIO’s product page lists Bluetooth and USB hybrid connectivity, a US/QWERTY layout, support for up to three Bluetooth-connected devices, and a rechargeable 5,000 mAh battery. AZIO notes that battery usage time depends on backlight use. See the AZIO product page for its product details.
This is the option to investigate if the appearance and full-size layout matter more than a compact footprint. The cited page identifies a US/QWERTY version; confirm the exact layout and current operating-system compatibility for the edition and region you plan to buy.

The Logitech K780 is a multi-device wireless keyboard with rounded keys and a phone/tablet cradle. Logitech lists Bluetooth and a Unifying USB receiver connection. It is a practical round-key alternative, but it is less explicitly typewriter-inspired than the other candidates. Review Logitech’s K780 page for product details.
