Retro Remake co-founder Taki Udon has teased what appears to be an FPGA-based SNES device, reported under the codename “SSNT/SuperFPGA.” He has also said the design will account for multiple regions. That is encouraging for fans outside the US, but it is not yet confirmation of specific console shells, game compatibility, or sales in any particular country.
What has Retro Remake teased?
Time Extension reported on October 8, 2026, that Taki Udon posted an image of an SNES reset button alongside the message, “It’s time to run it back.” The report associates the apparent FPGA device with the codename “SSNT/SuperFPGA.”

This is a teaser, not a complete product announcement. The available reporting does not establish the final name or specifications, so it is safest to describe the device as an apparent FPGA SNES console rather than a confirmed product with defined features. Time Extension’s report covers the teaser.

What does “all regions covered” mean for fans outside the US?
After a reader asked that the device not resemble the American SNES, Udon reportedly posted an image of a PAL/Japanese SNES reset button and replied, “Don’t worry, we have all regions covered.” That statement indicates an intention to account for multiple regional designs.

It does not yet say which shell styles will actually be produced, whether the console will be sold in specific countries, or whether it will support games from every region. Nor does it confirm shipping destinations. The comment is a useful sign for international enthusiasts, not a country-by-country availability plan.

How it relates to Retro Remake’s SuperStation One
Retro Remake already offers a separate product, the SuperStation One. Its official page describes it as a MiSTer FPGA-compatible system with HDMI, VGA, DIN10, composite, and component video output options. Those are SuperStation One details; they are not confirmed specifications for the teased SNES device. Retro Remake’s SuperStation One page describes that existing system.

How it relates to the Analogue Super Nt
Analogue’s Super Nt is an existing FPGA console documented to support SNES and Super Famicom cartridges. It offers a useful point of reference for the kind of hardware category the teaser may enter, but the available documentation is older and does not establish the product’s current stock or price. It also does not tell us how Retro Remake’s teased device will compare. Analogue’s Super Nt technical specifications describe that console.
A meaningful comparison will have to wait for confirmed details on regional designs, cartridge support and compatibility, video outputs, regional pricing and availability, and release timing. Until then, there is no sound basis for declaring one system better or more capable.
