First identify your monitor’s full model code and check its manual. For the S36C S24C360/S27C360 family, Samsung’s documented method is to lay the screen face-down on its protective cushion or a thick sitting mat, support the monitor, and pull the stand neck away. Keep pressure off the curved screen; do not assume this method fits another model.
Before you remove the stand, identify the monitor
Find the full model code on the monitor’s label or in its support information, then open the manual for that exact model. Samsung’s support listing for the S24C366EAE identifies it as an S36C curved monitor and lists a user manual, version 230113, modified October 23, 2023. Samsung’s S24C366EAE support page

Model identification matters because Samsung documents more than one stand design. The S36C example uses a pull-off neck; Samsung’s S-series service manual describes a release button for some named models and two M4xL14 screws for the S70A. How to remove an S36C stand neck

Disconnect the power cord and other cables so they cannot catch while you handle the monitor.

Place the monitor’s original protective packing cushion on a flat, stable surface. If you no longer have it, Samsung says a thick sitting mat can be used instead.

Set the monitor screen-down on the cushion or mat, keeping the panel supported. Do not press down on the curved screen: Samsung warns that pressure on the product while it is on a flat surface may damage it. Samsung Korea’s curved-monitor stand removal guidance

Hold the monitor securely with one hand and pull the stand neck in the direction shown in the manual. This pull-off method is documented for S36C examples; use a different procedure if your exact model’s manual specifies one.

If you also need to separate the base from the neck, follow the manual’s base instructions. In the cited S36C guidance, you turn the connecting screw underneath the base and pull the neck away.

If the stand will not come free
Stop rather than pulling harder. Recheck the model code and manual illustrations to confirm whether the stand uses a pull-off joint, a release button, or screws. A joint that resists may not be the kind that releases by pulling; forcing it can damage the stand or monitor.
Taking the base off is a separate step
Removing the stand neck from the monitor and separating the base from the neck are different operations. The S36C guidance describes turning the connecting screw at the bottom of the base before pulling the neck away. Other models may use different hardware, so follow the base-removal directions in your model’s manual rather than applying the S36C steps by default. Samsung Korea’s stand removal instructions

Protect the screen during handling

Use the original packing cushion when available; otherwise Samsung names a thick sitting mat as an alternative.

Keep the monitor supported and avoid pressing on the curved panel while it is face-down.
