Remember The Milk Pro adds subtasks, broader sharing controls, richer organization, mobile reminders and widgets, file attachments, automation, offline web access, and unlimited completed-task storage. The official upgrade page lists Pro at $49.99 USD per year; whether it is worth paying for depends on which of those features you need, since many core apps and integrations are also available on the free Basic plan.
What Remember The Milk Pro adds
Pro is the paid subscription tier of Remember The Milk. Its benefits cover several distinct needs: managing complex tasks, sharing lists, making tasks easier to see, connecting other services, and keeping a longer record of completed work. The official upgrade page marks its AI connection capability as beta, so that item should be treated as an advertised beta feature rather than a guaranteed, established workflow.

Break down and organize tasks
- Subtasks: divide a larger task into smaller steps.
- Tag colours: use colour to distinguish tagged tasks visually.
- Advanced sorting and grouping: organize task views beyond the Basic plan’s listed options.
- Themes: the upgrade page advertises more than 100 themes for the web and desktop apps.
Share lists and control access
Basic list sharing is limited to up to two other people. Pro offers unlimited list sharing and advanced sharing permissions, making the upgrade more relevant for people coordinating with larger groups or who need more control over shared lists.
See tasks and get mobile reminders
Pro includes mobile reminders, badges, and widgets, plus an Apple Watch app. These are useful if you want reminders and task visibility on mobile devices. Pro does not make every reminder channel exclusive: the plan comparison also lists email, text, instant messaging, and Twitter reminders for Basic.

Attach files and connect services
Pro can connect Dropbox or Google Drive so you can attach files to tasks. It also lists Microsoft Outlook sync, IFTTT and Zapier integrations, and an iOS Shortcuts capability. These are separate from integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Evernote, which the plan comparison lists for both Basic and Pro.
Automate and work offline
MilkScript lets Pro users create custom task automations. The upgrade page also advertises connecting AI with tasks through MCP, but labels that capability Beta. Pro additionally supports offline use in the web app.

Keep completed-task history and get member benefits
Basic keeps an archive of completed tasks for the last seven days; Pro provides unlimited storage of completed tasks. Other listed subscription benefits include early access through the tester program, double votes on product ideas, and priority email support.

How to decide whether Pro is worth it
- Consider Pro if you share with more than two people or need advanced permissions for shared lists.
- Consider Pro if your tasks need structure or supporting files: subtasks, advanced views, and cloud-drive attachments are all listed as Pro benefits.
- Consider Pro if reminders need to be more visible on mobile: mobile reminders, badges, widgets, and Apple Watch access are among its additions.
- Consider Pro if your workflow depends on integrations or automation: Outlook sync, IFTTT, Zapier, MilkScript, and offline web access may be decisive.
- Stay with Basic if its shared-task limit and seven-day archive are enough and you do not need the Pro-only features. The plan comparison includes core apps, device sync, several integrations, and multiple reminder channels in Basic.
Price and subscription terms
Remember The Milk’s official pricing pages list Pro at $49.99 USD per year. The company says that price took effect on November 1, 2023; its price-change help article identifies it as the first increase in seven years. The official upgrade page and help article continue to show the annual amount, but purchase-channel and regional pricing can differ.

Apple’s listing also shows an annual price of $49.99 USD and says the price may vary by location. App Store subscriptions are billed to the user’s iTunes account and automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. The official pricing-change information notes that App Store subscribers may see local-currency pricing and tax variation.
