One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchThe right REDTIGER dash cam depends first on what you need to record: the road ahead and behind, the cabin, or a front view advertised with both wide and telephoto lenses. REDTIGER’s listed alternatives differ in camera count and rear-camera resolution, but published specifications alone do not establish which model produces clearer footage or readable plates at a particular distance.
What is different about the REDTIGER ZP1?
The available REDTIGER ZP1 product-video listing describes a front telephoto lens alongside a wide front lens, plus a rear camera. It advertises 2K and 1080p recording, 4x zoom, dual STARVIS 2, HDR night vision, 5.8GHz Wi-Fi, voice control, and loop recording. These are listing claims, not independently verified performance results; an official ZP1 specification page was not available in the sources reviewed. Check the exact regional retail listing and version before relying on those details.

The front-lens arrangement is the ZP1’s distinguishing advertised feature among these examples. It may interest a driver who wants a telephoto view as well as a wide view, but zoom and resolution labels do not prove that a camera will capture readable license plates at a specific distance. That depends on real-world image quality and conditions, for which the available sources offer no comparable independent tests.

| ZP1 | Product-video listing describes wide and telephoto front lenses, a rear camera, 2K plus 1080p recording, and 4x zoom. | Someone interested in the advertised telephoto-plus-wide front arrangement and front/rear coverage. | No official ZP1 specification page was found; confirm the current model and regional version. |
| F7NP | Two-channel; front 4K and rear 1080p. | A front-resolution-led setup recording both front and rear. | Manufacturer specifications, not independent image-quality testing. |
| F77 | Front 4K and rear 4K, with IMX678 sensors, as described on the product page. | A buyer prioritizing matched high-resolution front and rear recording. | Manufacturer claims; the page result was crawled more than a year before the research date, so verify the current version. |
| F17 Elite | Three-channel; front 4K, rear 2.5K, and interior 1080p. | A driver who wants cabin footage as well as front and rear coverage. | Manufacturer specifications; confirm the current bundle and installation details. |
These configurations distinguish what each model is set up to record; they do not rank image quality. #1 Best Overall
- [Front Dual Lens (Tele+Wide) + Rear Coverage] Capture front telephoto zoom for distant plates, front wide-angle for the full road scene, and rear 1080P footage behind your bumper—all at the same time. When merging lanes or backing up in a parking lot, the three cameras record every angle without switching views. Having synchronized front zoom details, wide road context, and rear blind-spot coverage helps provide complete incident evidence and reduces guesswork during insurance claims.
- [Dual Telephoto Modes with EIS + HDR] Manually switch between two telephoto modes optimized for different conditions. Telephoto + EIS helps reduce motion blur on bumpy highways, making distant plates more readable at speed. Telephoto + HDR balances strong oncoming glare at night, helping prevent washout so plate details stay visible. When driving on rough roads or facing headlight backlight, toggle to the right mode to capture sharp, clear distant footage for your incident records.
- [STARVIS 2 Night Vision on Both Front Lenses] Both telephoto and wide-angle lenses feature STARVIS 2 with dual HDR—the wide lens uses the IMX675 sensor for enhanced low-light sensitivity. In tunnels, under flickering lights, or on dark streets, each lens adjusts exposure independently. The telephoto captures distant plates with minimized grain; the wide-angle records the full road scene with balanced lighting. This car camera delivers uncompromised range and clarity after dark.
- [Voice, Touch & 5.8GHz WiFi,Instant Evidence Access] Say "Lock the video" to instantly save the current clip without taking your eyes off the road. Tap to enable 5.8GHz WiFi for up to 4x faster transfers¹ vs 2.4GHz WiFi. Open the app and download zoomed telephoto footage to your phone in seconds. After a lane change dispute or during a traffic stop, pull over and transfer the evidence right at the scene. This WiFi dash cam keeps reliable incident footage in hand when you need it most.
- [24/7 Parking Guard*] This car security camera provides true 24/7 parking mode: it records at a low frame rate, reduces power draw, and runs for hours. While parked, the telephoto lens reads distant license plates. On any impact, the G‑sensor instantly locks the clip. Park anywhere – dark alleys, busy lots, or your driveway – and rest assured. The camera saves the critical zoomed detail you need for claims. (*Hardwire kit requires a separate purchase)
Which features matter for your driving?
Camera coverage: road only or cabin too?
Start with the views you need. The F7NP and F77 are listed as two-channel options for front-and-rear coverage. The F17 Elite is a three-channel option that adds an interior camera. The ZP1 listing also describes front and rear coverage, with two different front lenses. Choose based on whether cabin recording is useful for your vehicle and driving—not simply on the number of channels.
Rear resolution: 1080p, 2.5K, or 4K?
The documented alternatives differ at the rear: the F7NP is listed at 1080p, the F17 Elite at 2.5K, and the F77 at 4K. Those are manufacturer-published resolution specifications, not proof that one captures more useful detail in every situation. Consider whether higher listed rear resolution matters for your use, then look for independent footage comparisons if image quality is the deciding factor.

- [24-hour Parking Monitoring*] REDTIGER Car dashboard camera offers G-Sensor Parking Mode that automatically record when it detects any collisions or sudden motion while vehicles is parked. Time Lapse Parking Mode provides continuous surveillance by offering a condensed overview of any events that may occur during parking periods. *Please note that the parking monitoring function requires a separate hardwire kit.
Telephoto, wide angle, and plate detail
The ZP1’s advertised telephoto-plus-wide front lenses are a different design emphasis from the resolution figures that distinguish the other models. A telephoto view may suit a buyer who specifically wants a narrower, magnified front view alongside a wide one. Do not treat the advertised 4x zoom as a guarantee of plate readability: the available evidence does not establish a readable-plate distance or a comparable plate-capture test for any of these models.

STARVIS 2, HDR, WDR, and night-vision terminology describe technologies or advertised features, not results from a shared low-light test. The ZP1 listing mentions dual STARVIS 2 and HDR night vision; manufacturer materials for other models also include low-light feature claims. There is no comparable independent night-footage evidence here, so avoid choosing solely by these labels.

Parking mode and power
If you want recording while parked, check the precise parking behavior supported by the model and the power setup it requires. REDTIGER catalogs hardwire kits as an accessory category, but that does not establish that a kit is included with a particular camera bundle or confirm compatibility. Check the package contents and installation requirements for the exact listing before buying.
Storage, controls, and phone transfer
Check the selected model’s card-capacity limit, supported microSD card, control method, and transfer options in its current specification page. REDTIGER’s catalog lists cards and hardwire kits, but product capacities, compatibility, and included accessories may differ. The available sources do not establish comparable control or phone-transfer details for all four models, so verify those features on the exact regional product page.

How to choose among the four
- Choose by coverage first: consider the ZP1, F7NP, or F77 for listed front-and-rear coverage; consider the F17 Elite if you also want an interior camera.
- Prioritize rear resolution? The F77 is listed with rear 4K, compared with the F17 Elite’s 2.5K and F7NP’s 1080p. These figures do not substitute for comparable footage tests.
- Interested in the ZP1’s lens arrangement? Treat its telephoto, wide-lens, zoom, and recording details as listing claims, and confirm them against the current regional version before ordering.
- Planning to use parking mode? Verify supported behavior, power needs, hardwire-kit compatibility, and whether the selected bundle includes the required parts.
- Before checkout: confirm the current bundle, storage requirements, accessory compatibility, controls, and phone-transfer features on the exact model listing.
What is established—and what is not
REDTIGER’s published specifications provide a useful way to compare listed camera coverage and resolution. The ZP1 information available here comes from a product-video listing rather than an official specification page, so its version-specific details need particular care. None of the available sources supplies independent, comparable tests that would support a performance ranking, a low-light winner, or a guaranteed plate-reading distance.
