These dimensions and weight are useful for planning, but measure your car boot, doorway and storage area rather than relying on general descriptions of the pram as compact. Owner reviews often praise folding and car handling, but those are individual experiences, not controlled test results. CHOICE’s JIVE⁵ page puts its expert rating, recommendation, component scores and many test outcomes behind membership. The public information therefore does not support a claim that it passed specific safety or durability tests. ProductReview’s user-submitted reviews are anecdotal, and some are marked “Fair Incentive.”

By itself, the JIVE⁵ is for one child. The Redsbaby guide allows two-child use only with the JIVE⁵ Second Seat Conversion Kit. The kit’s listed capacity is 17 kg, but Redsbaby marks the kit discontinued, and stock or price shown on its listing can change. Confirm the kit is present and compatible with the specific pram before treating it as a usable double configuration.

The manufacturer’s listing also says the discontinued kit retains the standard 24-month warranty but is not eligible for the extra year available through online registration. How the bassinet and newborn setup work
The JIVE⁵ bassinet has a 9 kg maximum. Stop using it earlier if the infant begins pushing up on hands and knees. The guide distinguishes ordinary pram use from overnight sleep: overnight use of this bassinet is permitted only with the Redsbaby Bassinet Stand. The pram itself is not an unsupervised sleeping environment.

For capsule compatibility, the guide names Britax capsules used with JIVE⁵ bassinet adaptors, and Maxi-Cosi, Joie and Nuna capsules used with separately sold Maxi-Cosi capsule adaptors. Match the exact capsule and adaptor combination to the guide before buying; a capsule brand name alone does not confirm compatibility. Verify availability of the correct adaptors and any other accessories before relying on them.

- Use the harness and tether, and apply the brakes whenever the stroller is stationary.
- Check that the fold locks engage, and inspect the brakes and other components. Stop using the stroller if a component is damaged.
- Do not hang bags from the handle or overload the stroller or basket; the basket limit is 12 kg.
- Fold and use the pram as directed, and use only approved accessories.
- Use the second seat only with the JIVE⁵ Second Seat Conversion Kit.

What to inspect before buying used or remaining stock
Because ProductReview marks the JIVE⁵ discontinued, availability may be limited to remaining stock or second-hand listings. That does not establish that the pram is currently available from Redsbaby or another retailer. ProductReview owners commonly praise folding, handling and car storage, while one visible negative review reports difficulty reattaching the basket because of its metal clips. Treat these as prompts for your own inspection, not predictions of how every unit will perform.

- Frame, locks and brakes: Look for damage or looseness. Open and fold the stroller, confirm its locks engage, and test that the brakes hold it stationary.
- Harness and wheels: Check the harness for damage and confirm it fastens and adjusts. Inspect wheels for wear and check that they turn and attach securely.
- Basket: Attach and remove it yourself, checking that its clips hold. Confirm it is undamaged and do not exceed its 12 kg capacity.
- Bassinet: Inspect its structure and mattress, and verify that the stand is included if you need the bassinet’s approved overnight setup.
- Fold and included parts: Operate the fold mechanism and verify which seat, bassinet, adaptors and accessories are included. Confirm capsule use only with the model-specific adaptor combination stated in the guide.
- History and support: Ask for the original purchase date and proof of purchase, and verify warranty eligibility, transfer conditions and access to any replacement parts directly with Redsbaby.
Warranty and evidence limits
Redsbaby’s guide states a standard 24-month warranty beginning when the product ships from the warehouse, with an extra 12 months after online registration within 60 days of delivery. CHOICE lists a two-year warranty. Do not assume that a second-hand pram still has coverage: ask the manufacturer to confirm eligibility using the original purchase details and seller information.
