This is a comparison of Xiaomi Global’s REDMI Note 15 5G and Xiaomi India’s REDMI Turbo 5—not every phone sold as “REDMI Note 15.” Their official specifications do not establish real-world speed, camera quality or battery life, and the available prices do not support a like-for-like price difference.
First, identify which REDMI Note 15 you mean
“REDMI Note 15” can refer to substantially different regional models. Xiaomi Global’s REDMI Note 15 5G specifications list a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 5520mAh typical battery and 45W charging. Xiaomi Cambodia’s non-5G REDMI Note 15 specifications instead list a MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra, a 6000mAh battery and 33W charging.

The cited pages also do not establish a comparable software-update duration.

Which phone looks better for performance and battery?
On the listed hardware, the Turbo 5 is the more performance-oriented choice: its India page names the Dimensity 8500-Ultra, compared with the Note 15 5G’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. No independent benchmark results are available here, so that chipset comparison should not be read as a measured speed advantage or as a prediction for every app and workload.
The Turbo 5 also has the larger listed battery and faster stated charging: 7540mAh and 100W, versus the Note 15 5G’s 5520mAh typical capacity and 45W. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in practice; no independent endurance or charging test is available for this comparison.

How do the displays, cameras and protection compare?
The Note 15 5G has the larger listed display at 6.67 inches, while Xiaomi describes the Turbo 5’s 6.59-inch panel as 1.5K. Both are listed as AMOLED displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz. Xiaomi’s Turbo 5 FAQ gives a peak-brightness figure of up to 3500 nits; that vendor specification is not a like-for-like independent brightness measurement.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor rear cameras, the Note 15 5G page lists a 108MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, while the Turbo 5 page names a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS. The listed camera setups differ, but hardware descriptions do not establish image quality; no independent camera samples or testing are available here.

Xiaomi lists IP66 protection for the global Note 15 5G and describes the India Turbo 5 as IP68 and IP69K protected. These ratings do not mean either phone is waterproof in every situation. Check the local model’s warranty terms and Xiaomi’s conditions before exposing it to water.
What is the price difference?
A reliable current price difference cannot be stated without a shared country, date, storage configuration, tax treatment, seller type, warranty and promotion status. The available figures are not a matched comparison: IT之家 (ITHome) reported China launch list prices for the Turbo 5 on January 29, 2026, not current prices in another market.

| Turbo 5 China launch configuration | Reported launch list price |
|---|---|
| 12GB + 256GB | RMB 1,999 |
| 16GB + 256GB or 12GB + 512GB | RMB 2,299 |
| 16GB + 512GB | RMB 2,599 |
Those are China launch list prices reported by IT之家 (ITHome) on January 29, 2026; they are not live retail quotes. The report also gives subsidy-dependent effective prices, which are not general prices and are excluded from the table. No matching Note 15 price for the same market and configuration is established here, so subtracting one phone’s price from the other would be misleading.

Which one should you choose?
- Lean toward the Turbo 5 if the India-market version is available to you and the listed larger battery, faster charging and newer named chipset are your priorities. Verify local network compatibility, warranty, price and exact model before buying.
- Consider the Note 15 5G if you want the global 5G model’s larger listed screen or its specified ultra-wide rear camera. Confirm that the global model’s bands and regional support suit your location.
- If you mean the non-5G Note 15, do not use the Note 15 5G column as its specification sheet. The Cambodia page lists different chipset, battery and charging specifications, so that requires a separate comparison.
For either phone, compare the exact local variant, storage tier, included accessories, warranty and same-market selling price. Xiaomi’s global Note 15 5G page says a power adapter is not included, while the Cambodia non-5G Note 15 page lists an in-box 33W adapter; box contents can therefore differ by model and region.
