The Redmi 15 5G has the larger screen at 6.9 inches and the higher maximum refresh rate, up to 144Hz, but uses an LCD panel. The Note 15 SE’s 6.77-inch display is smaller and tops out at 120Hz, but it uses curved AMOLED. Choose based on panel preference and size rather than refresh rate alone: these figures do not establish which display looks better in everyday use. Xiaomi’s Redmi 15 5G FAQ identifies its panel as LCD.

Battery capacity versus charging speed
The Redmi 15 5G has a higher typical battery capacity, 7,000mAh against the Note 15 SE’s 5,800mAh. The Note 15 SE, in turn, lists higher-wattage wired charging: 45W versus 33W. Capacity and charging ratings do not tell you how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in real use; no comparable independent battery or charging test is established here. Xiaomi’s Redmi 15 product page describes its 7,000mAh battery and 33W charging as product features, not as a matched test result.
Camera specifications and water protection
The Note 15 SE lists a 20MP front camera, compared with 8MP on the Redmi 15. That is a resolution difference, not proof of better selfies. The rear-camera specifications also differ: Xiaomi lists a 50MP AI dual camera for the Redmi 15 and a 50MP main camera with a 2MP depth camera for the Note 15 SE; megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality.

The Redmi 15 is rated IP64, while Xiaomi lists IP65 and IP66 for the Note 15 SE. Xiaomi cautions that the SE ratings are based on laboratory conditions and can deteriorate with wear or damage. Neither rating should be read as a promise that liquid exposure is harmless or covered by warranty.

Xiaomi lists Android 15 with HyperOS 2 for the Redmi 15 and Android 15 with HyperOS 3 for the Note 15 SE. Xiaomi India’s Redmi 15 material specifies 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. The retrieved Note 15 SE specification page does not state an equivalent update duration, so do not assume it has the same commitment.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi 15 5G if the lower listed price, larger LCD or higher stated battery capacity is your priority.
- Choose the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G if you prefer a curved AMOLED display, higher rated charging wattage or a higher-resolution front-camera specification.
