Which phone has the better display?
The Redmi 14C has a 6.88-inch display with a resolution of 1640 × 720 and a listed maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The Redmi 13C 4G has a 6.74-inch, 1600 × 720 display with a listed maximum refresh rate of 90Hz. Xiaomi describes the 14C figure as “Up to 120Hz high refresh rate”; that is the manufacturer’s specification, not an independent assessment of display quality or smoothness in every app.

On the published figures, the 14C is the choice to consider if you want the larger screen and higher supported refresh rate. The 13C’s slightly smaller display may suit someone who prefers a more compact phone, though its lower listed refresh rate is a trade-off.
Which is smaller and lighter?
The Redmi 13C India listing gives a weight of 192g and dimensions of 168 × 78 × 8.09mm. The cited Redmi 14C UK listing gives 204g and 171.88 × 77.8 × 8.22mm for its Midnight Black and Starry Blue variants. That makes the listed 13C lighter and shorter; the 14C is marginally narrower on those measurements. Variant and market differences mean these figures should not be assumed to cover every color or regional configuration.
How do the cameras differ?
Both regional specifications list a 50MP main rear camera. Xiaomi India specifies an additional 2MP macro camera for the Redmi 13C 4G, while the Xiaomi UK Redmi 14C page lists an auxiliary lens without a separate macro-camera specification. The 14C listing also gives a 13MP front camera compared with 8MP on the 13C listing.
These hardware figures do not determine which phone produces better photos. The cited specifications provide no like-for-like camera test, so they cannot establish image quality, low-light results or video performance.

Battery capacity, charging and what is in the box
Xiaomi lists a typical battery capacity of 5160mAh for the Redmi 14C UK variant and 5000mAh for the Redmi 13C India variant. The 14C therefore has the higher stated capacity, but those numbers alone do not show which phone lasts longer between charges; no comparable battery-life test is established here.
Both cited variants support 18W charging, but the stated adapter contents differ by region: Xiaomi UK says the 14C does not include a power adapter, while Xiaomi India says a 10W adapter comes with the 13C. Check the package contents for the exact local model before buying a charger.

The UK Redmi 14C listing names a MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra, while the India Redmi 13C 4G listing names a Helio G85 and specifies its core frequencies. Both pages list Mali-G52 MC2 graphics. Processor names and clock figures are not a substitute for a controlled, like-for-like speed test, so they do not establish which phone feels faster in everyday use or gaming.
The configurations shown also vary: the 14C UK page lists 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, while the 13C India page additionally lists 6GB + 128GB. Xiaomi’s software listings are HyperOS for the 14C and MIUI 14 based on Android 13 for the 13C. Availability of a particular memory configuration or software version can depend on market and variant.

Is the Redmi 14C more expensive than the Redmi 13C?
A defensible current price difference is not available from the cited information. Xiaomi UK promotion material lists a Redmi 14C starting at £129, but a starting price does not specify a matching memory configuration or establish a current like-for-like comparison. The UK sale terms also cover a Redmi 13C 5G, which is not the Redmi 13C 4G compared here.
Prices depend on country, retailer, configuration and promotion dates. Compare the two 4G/4G models in the same market at the same time, with the same memory and storage where possible; do not use a UK promotional price for the 14C against a 13C 5G price as though it settled the 4G comparison. The Xiaomi UK promotion page is New Year, New Start, and the related Spring Sale Round II terms are promotion-specific rather than a stable price list.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi 14C if the larger 6.88-inch screen, higher listed maximum refresh rate, 13MP front-camera specification or 5160mAh typical battery figure matters more to you.
- Consider the Redmi 13C 4G if the cited regional measurements—192g and 168mm tall—better fit your preference for a lighter, shorter phone, or if a dedicated macro camera is important to you.
- Compare local listings before deciding if price, adapter inclusion or a specific memory configuration is decisive. Confirm that the 13C listing is for the 4G model, not the 5G model.
