What the Realme Pad 2 does well
Large, fast screen suits video and browsing
The 11.5-inch 2000 × 1200 display gives you ample room for video, web pages and documents. Its refresh rate can reach 120Hz, which can make scrolling and supported content look smoother. 91mobiles lists maximum brightness at 450 nits. These specifications make the screen attractive for indoor entertainment, though they do not overcome its reflectivity in bright surroundings.
Speakers make it a capable media tablet
Gadgets 360 found the quad-speaker system loud and immersive, and notes Dolby Atmos support. That is useful for watching shows or listening without headphones, especially given that there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Enough performance for ordinary tasks
The MediaTek Helio G99 handled browsing, email, social media, light Google Docs use and entertainment adequately in 91mobiles’ review. Gadgets 360 also used several browser tabs alongside YouTube and described split-screen with a floating window for viewing three apps. This makes the tablet practical for casual multitasking, rather than a substitute for a high-performance laptop or gaming device.
Large battery, with reviewer-specific results
The battery capacity is 8,360mAh and charging is rated at 33W. Gadgets 360 recorded 26 hours and 13 minutes in its standard battery-loop video test and a full charge in 1 hour and 36 minutes with the bundled 33W charger. That is a publication test, not a promise of everyday runtime. Separately, 91mobiles reported three to four days on light-to-moderate use during its review period and approximately 1 hour 40 minutes for a full charge. Those are that reviewer’s observations, not a standardized battery guarantee.

LTE option adds flexibility
An LTE configuration is among the Pad 2’s attractions for buyers who want cellular connectivity rather than relying only on Wi-Fi. Confirm the exact variant and network-band compatibility for your country and carrier before buying; availability and specifications can vary by market.

Realme Pad 2 drawbacks to consider
Reflective display is difficult in direct sunlight
Despite the 450-nit maximum brightness reported by 91mobiles, the display’s reflective surface makes direct-sunlight use difficult, according to that review. Gadgets 360 also noted reduced contrast when viewing the display at an angle and occasional choppiness in high-refresh-rate behavior. The 120Hz figure is therefore not a guarantee that every interaction will always appear perfectly smooth.

Not built for demanding games
The Helio G99 is adequate for everyday use but not a performance powerhouse. 91mobiles found the tablet less suitable for graphically demanding games. If intensive gaming or sustained high-end performance is a priority, look for a more capable device and compare current prices rather than assuming the Pad 2’s large screen will make up for its chipset limits.
Heavy for long handheld sessions
MySmartPrice reports a 518g weight and a 7.2mm body with metal and polycarbonate elements. Its reviewer found the weight tiring during extended handheld use. A stand or supported case may help for longer viewing sessions, but verify exact Realme Pad 2 compatibility before purchasing an accessory.

Cameras are basic and there is no headphone jack
Gadgets 360 identifies a 5MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It found the rear camera below average for detail, while the front camera was more suitable for video calls. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, so wired listening requires an appropriate compatible adapter or another audio connection. The cited review also says officially supported accessories were unavailable at the time; that does not establish what third-party accessories are currently sold.

Price and buying advice
At launch in India in 2023, the 6GB RAM/128GB model was priced at ₹19,999 and the 8GB/256GB model at ₹22,999, as reported by Gadgets 360 and MySmartPrice. Those are historical launch prices; current pricing, stock and software status are not established here. Check the seller, exact model and current listing before making a purchase.
Gadgets 360 named the Redmi Pad and Oppo Pad Air as contemporaneous competitors, noting that they could be priced lower but lacked cellular connectivity and had smaller displays and batteries. This is launch-era context, not a current market ranking. Compare any alternative on the factors that matter to you:
- Whether it includes LTE and supports your carrier.
- Screen size, refresh rate, brightness and reflections.
- Battery capacity and charging, alongside credible real-world testing.
- Everyday responsiveness and performance in the games or apps you use.
- Current price, included accessories and compatibility with any extras you need.
Verdict: Should you buy the Realme Pad 2?
Consider the Realme Pad 2 if your main uses are streaming, browsing, reading, video calls and light multitasking, and you value a large 120Hz screen, capable speakers and an LTE option. Skip it if you need strong outdoor visibility, demanding-game performance, better cameras, a headphone jack or a lightweight tablet for long handheld use. Because the launch prices are from 2023 and a current offer is not established, base a present-day decision on the exact model’s price, local availability and software status rather than the original price alone.
