The Realme P4R prioritises a larger rated battery and a brighter, slightly larger screen; the Realme P4x has the sharper display and stronger listed chipset. Both have 144Hz LCDs and support 45W charging. For buyers in India, the better fit depends mainly on whether battery capacity and peak brightness matter more than screen resolution and processing power.

Which screen is better?
The P4x has the higher-resolution FHD+ panel, so text and images should appear sharper than on the P4R’s HD+ screen. Both are 144Hz LCDs, but refresh rate alone does not make their image detail equal. The P4R has a marginally larger listed diagonal—6.8 inches versus 6.72 inches—and a higher stated peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits versus up to 1,000 nits for the P4x. These are published peak figures, not a guarantee that either phone will sustain that brightness in every condition.

Battery capacity is not the same as runtime
Realme rates the P4R battery at 8,000mAh and the P4x at 7,000mAh. Both support 45W charging. The larger rating gives the P4R more battery capacity on paper, but it does not by itself establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.72 inches, IPS LCD, 1080 x 2400 pixels
- 128GB Storage, 4GB RAM
- Android 15, Realme UI 6.0, Mediatek Dimensity 7400 Ultra (4 nm), Octa-core (4x2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)
- Rear: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), PDAF, Auxiliary lens, Front: 8 MP, f/2.0, (wide)
- 165.9 x 76 x 8.4 mm (6.53 x 2.99 x 0.33 in), 208 g (7.34 oz)
In the PCMark battery chart included in its 17 June 2026 comparison, 91mobiles reports 15.9 hours for the P4R and 17.6 hours for the P4x. That is a result from that source’s test, not a universal runtime prediction; usage, settings and test conditions affect battery life. Anyone choosing primarily for endurance should compare controlled tests rather than decide from mAh figures alone.
The P4x has the stronger listed chipset
The P4R uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300, while the P4x uses the Dimensity 7400 Ultra. The P4x is therefore the more compelling specification-based pick for gaming or heavier multitasking. Actual performance also depends on the app, software and operating conditions.

- Android 15, Realme UI 5.0, Unisoc T7250 (12 nm), Octa-core (2x1.8 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6x1.6 GHz Cortex-A55)
Realme advertises AnTuTu scores of 631,720 for the P4R and 780,000+ for the P4x on its product pages. These are manufacturer figures, and the available information does not establish that the phones were tested with identical versions and conditions. Treat them as Realme’s claims, not a directly controlled head-to-head result.
Software and cameras
At launch, 91mobiles listed the P4R with Android 16-based realme UI 7.0 and the P4x with Android 15-based realme UI 6.0. It reported two OS upgrades and three years of security patches for each. Those are launch-time details; the current software version on a particular handset depends on updates received and its sale region.

- 201 g (7.09 oz)

The comparison lists the same camera configuration for both phones: 50MP and 2MP rear cameras, plus an 8MP front camera. Similar megapixel counts do not establish similar photo quality, and the available comparison does not show that one consistently takes better pictures. It lists additional AI editing features for the P4R, but that is not evidence of superior image results.

As reported by 91mobiles on 17 June 2026, the P4R started at ₹18,999 for 4GB/128GB, with 6GB versions from ₹20,999. The P4x was listed at ₹21,499 for 6GB/128GB and ₹23,499 for 8GB/128GB. Because the starting P4R price is for a lower-RAM configuration than the P4x’s listed entry variant, it is not a like-for-like value comparison. Check current India listings and sale terms for matching RAM and storage before buying.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the P4R if you want the higher rated battery capacity, slightly larger screen, higher stated peak brightness, or the newer software version reported at launch.
- Choose the P4x if you value a sharper FHD+ display or the stronger listed chipset for demanding apps, gaming or multitasking.
- For battery life or value, compare evidence and price carefully: the capacity rating alone does not settle real-world runtime, and dated prices for different memory configurations do not settle which is the better deal.
